Brave girl trudges over a mile through heavy snow to find help for her sick puppy
The power of love is immeasurable.
It really is bothering and alarming to see your dog feeling unwell. Probably because you don’t know what to do because unlike kids, dogs can’t talk. They can’t tell you what’s wrong or if they’re feeling any pain.
Don’t blame yourself when this happens, it’s inevitable, that’s why there are veterinarians.
These animal experts know all the whats, whys, and hows of animals. However, not all people have quick access to a vet, especially those living in rural areas.
That’s one hurdle for the residents of a certain town in Turkey. But that hurdle didn’t stop a brave little girl from getting help for her sick pup.
The veterinarian is in town!

Veterinarian Ogün Öztürk got a call from a small village in Turkey and responded to help a client’s cow. At first, he had no plans of staying long, he’s decided to leave shortly after he’s done with his client.
Little did he know, everything’s about to change.
Soon, he will realize that his stay in the small village will be something that he will never forget for the rest of his life.
Time to go home.
After calling it a day at the village, Ogün packed his things up and was ready to leave. But right when he was about to, something from afar caught his attention.
When the image became clearer, he saw a little girl marching through the thick snow. And soon, he realized that the girl was not alone.
She was carrying a pup on her back.

It looked like the young girl heard about Ogün’s visit to their village. It’s a rare opportunity not only for her but for everyone, and her determination to meet the vet brought her there.
She’s 8-year-old Cemre Su Türköz and she needed help.
On Cemre’s back is her pup named Pamuk and he’s sick. She’s in desperate need of a vet’s help so she “weathered the storm” when she heard that an animal doctor is in their small village.
She carried Pamuk on her back and walked more than a mile from her home to where she heard the vet would be.
Ogün told The Dodo:
“When I first saw them, I was very surprised and touched. She’d wrapped her dog up and brought him to me on her back.”
Time to save Pamuk.
Ogün’s heart was deeply warmed by the kind gesture of the little girl. Of course, he didn’t turn the request away.
He immediately performed a checkup on Pamuk. Gladly, his condition wasn’t too serious. What’s making him feel uncomfortable were just minor skin issues that could be easily cured.
“When Cemre heard that her dog would be fine, she was very happy,” Ogün said. “I applied external parasite medications to Pamuk. He is now enjoying himself again, healthy and happily.”
Cemre didn’t just get help for Pamuk, she also got a new friend.
They got a new friend in the person of a kindhearted vet, in fact, Ogün came back to see how things have been going for Cemre and Pamuk.
He wanted to make sure the little girl would never have to brave the snow again just to seek veterinary help.
“It made me very happy that an 8-year-old girl behaved in this way with such a loving heart,” Ogün said.
He’s inspired by Cemre to love his profession even more. They’re both lucky to have met each other. We’ll call it destiny.
