Girl’s heartbroken that every cat’s scared of her wheelchair – then she meets the perfect stray

For a lot of kids, having a pet is one of their greatest wishes. A girl from Palm Harbor, Florida named Kiley always dreamt of having a cat around in the house, but she actually has had quite some trouble finding a cat. Kiley has a disability and needs to move around in a power wheelchair, but it turns out most cats are actually afraid of it. She never seemed to find a feline friend who wouldn’t be scared of the noisy wheelchair, and was afraid that she’d never get to be a human mommy for a cat.

However, that all changed when she met the adorable four-footer who listens to the name Sinatra.

The story of Sinatra is most definitely a very special one. The feline four-footer was found as a stray cat by an animal rescuer, Chris Poole. The man has saved numerous stray animals in the neighborhood for years and does his best to take care of them. When he suddenly spotted a white feline with light blue eyes, he knew that he would meet this stray cat again eventually.

Just a few days after Chris first saw this cute cat, the four-footer joined him again when Chris fed some of the other homeless cats. The man thinks that Sinatra must’ve been homeless for quite a long time, and believes that he was left behind by his previous owners who moved to another place.

As with most other stray cats, it takes a while before the man is able to bond with them and get them to trust him.

After a couple of weeks, you could tell that Sinatra started opening up to him and didn’t mind that Chris got in his comfort zone. The feline had no more doubts: he was someone with good intentions and eventually allowed Chris to start petting him as often as he would like. The two even played around in the area together!

Chris got in touch with the Suncoast Animal League, to see if they could try and find a warm and loving forever home for this adorable and affectionate feline.

It was time to get this feline off the streets and into a safe place. Chris didn’t have any difficulties getting Sinatra into a humane trap, thanks to the silver vine he was already familiar with. It didn’t take long before the cat was getting used to life at the shelter, but Sinatra definitely needed a warm family to call home.

If there is one thing that strikes out the most about Sinatra, it’s that he absolutely adores receiving attention!

Larissa then remembered having Kiley and her mom at the shelter a few months ago and gave them a call about Sinatra.

She figured that Sinatra would be an absolutely perfect match for Kiley and the rest of her family, and Kiley’s story is one that definitely hadn’t left Larissa’s mind, even after all those months.

Even though Kiley was afraid that Sinatra would react just like all the other cats – he simply hopped right on top of her lap to cuddle her!

These two formed a bond almost immediately, and Kiley just couldn’t stop smiling knowing that she finally found her feline best friend. As for the wheelchair, Sinatra doesn’t mind at all.

What an absolutely adorable pair!
