When the thief made off with this girl’s phone, he thought that he’d be able to make a quick buck. Luckily, the girl’s brother used an ingenious trick to get the phone returned.

Siblings are supposed to look out for one another. That’s how it is. Sure, they cause each other hell sometimes, but most siblings know that if they need help, then their brothers or sisters will have their backs.

The girl in this story really knows that she can rely on her brother for help. And when she lost her phone, she learned that he could outwit a criminal with ease.

It all began when the girl in this story went out to the movies. But while she was in the parking lot, someone sneakily took her phone.

The first thing that she did when she found out was call her brother, on her friend’s phone, and tell him what had happened. The brother tried to track the phone down with no luck. First, he called it, with no reply. But soon something would happen that would allow him to retrieve the phone.

An unknown number text him.

The person claimed to be the brother’s sister. But the brother knew what was happening by now. The thief must have noted down the brother’s number when he was calling the stolen phone.

Instead of demanding the thief to return the phone, the brother thought that he could approach the situation in a more cunning way.

The brother asked the “sister” why she was texting him. The thief, thinking that the brother had been hoodwinked, claimed to have forgotten the phone’s password.

The brother said that he could look for the password. The brother then left the thief hanging. The thief must have been desperate to get that password. Eventually, the thief started texting back, asking if the brother was mad at “her.”

That’s when the brother started to freak the thief out.

The brother started telling his “sister” that he was annoyed at her leaving him to do all of the “work with the you know who.” Then he started talking about digging a hole.

Then the brother started talking about “the boss” and how he could get mad at the sister for losing the phone. But the big catch was that the boss had the password and the “find your phone” app.

The brother then left the thief an ominous warning about what could happen next:

To top it all off, the brother text back a little later saying that he had had to tell the boss, and that the sister was “in for it now.” He then told her to flee as soon as possible.

The brother then told the thief that the best thing to do to avoid being chased by a mob boss would be to hand in the phone to the police.

That was the end of the conversation. But it wasn’t the end of the story. Less than an hour after the text conversation ended, the phone was handed over to the police.

The sister got the phone back and, naturally, she was incredibly grateful for her brother’s quick thinking.

No one knows what happened to the thief, but he’s presumably hiding in a secret location, fearing for his life.
