Making mistakes is natural and can absolutely happen, but it’s another thing to admit your mistake and apologize for it.

It’s a given that not everyone likes to admit when they were wrong, even though we all make those mistakes sometimes.

It turns out that feelings like those don’t only apply to us humans, sometimes they apply to four-footers as well. And when a pooch “apologizes” and try to make things right, it’s about the most adorable thing ever.

This cute Golden Retriever, for example, has won over the hearts of his family as well as the entire internet for his amazing apology.

It’s as if he’s trying to say “I’m so sorry”- as best he can, of course.

The retriever didn’t apologize to a human, but he actually apologized to his dog brother- and it was so incredibly sweet.

So what exactly did this golden retriever do?

He stole his brother’s treat and felt very bad about the whole thing.

These two brothers, Watson and Kiko, are absolutely inseparable and the best of friends. They love hanging around each other and spending time with their human owner, Jennifer Medrano, who lives in Spokane, Washington.

It’s actually very possible that you’ve seen these two pooches before because they’re quite the internet superstars!

On their personal Instagram-account, they’ve amassed just a million followers already – the internet can’t get enough of their cute faces and cool adventures.

Jennifer is a professional photographer and definitely knows how to take some incredible pictures of her two furry best friends!

Even though they’re best buds for life, sometimes accidents and misunderstandings just happen.

For Watson, the temptation of eating a delicious treat that wasn’t his was just too high to resist.

However, regret came very quickly and the poor four-footer felt incredibly sorry afterward. Just look at the guilty expression on his face!

Watson and Kiko usually get their treats – or “chewies”, as mommy likes to call them – side by side. However, one day, Watson simply decided to eat both of these chewies.

Perhaps he was really hungry, or that specific treat just smelled really delicious. We’ll probably never figure it out, but we do know that the retriever was really, really sorry.

Of course, mommy saw the whole thing happening and wanted to see if Watson felt any remorse. She let the camera roll and the footage is just so adorable to look at.

Stealing treats is something that’s not taken lightly in this household!

“Hey Watson, do you understand when I’m talking to you?” mommy says.

He’s definitely in the hot seat, and you can pretty much tell that the dog knows he’s in the wrong. Watson grunts a couple of times while mommy addresses him.

“So I gave you a chewy, I gave Kiko a chewy. You ate Kiko’s chewy.”

Funnily enough, all this talk about chewies actually made both of them lick their lips!

Mommy wanted Watson to apologize, and that’s exactly what he did.

“So what do we say when we steal someone else’s chewy?”

He goes to his sibling and gives a really big hug to say sorry.

The sight of these two pooches hugging each other is just so heartwarming and sweet. It’s even cuter in motion, so definitely make sure to check out the adorable apology in the video below.
