But there is a very popular dog on Instagram with a genetic mutation that has everyone swooning over him. He is just super adorable. Men and women of all ages have fallen in love with this good boy.

Meet Lorenzo DeMedici Splotch Viola.
Also called Enzo Viola, the English cream golden retriever has an unusual black patch on his face. It was there since he was born. And no, it doesn’t hurt him nor does it cause any problems.
Except super cuteness overload.

This adorable canine is 3 years old. Enzo is from Austin, Texas and is as energetic and playful as retrievers are.
Bet you want to hold him.
His owner, Eli Castro, says this unusual coloring is due to a genetic mutation called somatic cellular mutation.
“It’s totally harmless—a small, non-hereditary quirk that occurs in about one out of every 900,000 goldens and other light coated dogs,” Castro says. “There’s no predicting it, and no one at [Enzo’s breeder] had ever seen a golden with a splotch before.”

The family didn’t think Enzo would become famous either.
All they wanted to do was share pics of their new pup with friends and family.
“Ella first had the idea to start the account,” Castro says. “We hit 20,000 [followers] in the first few months. We’re just under 200,000 now. We were shocked by how many people wanted to hear from our sweet pup, and we love sharing with everyone.”

The best part is that Enzo helps others embrace their flaws. Enzo encourages his followers to accept their differences with his unique splotch.
The family fell in love with Enzo the first time they laid eyes on him. And it was like the pup chose them too. Enzo crawled on Castro’s daughter’s lap and that was that.

The dog has filled their lives with smiles and lots of love.
“We spend a lot of time playing fetch with him in the back yard or playing with one of his toys inside.”
“There’s so much to enjoy spending time with him, one of my favourite things is that he often falls asleep while tugging on a toy, he’ll just slowly lay down and rest with the toy in his mouth.” 15-year-old Clarissa Castro said.

Enzo has a routine she knows all too well.
The sweet pup wakes up each morning at the same time, goes for a walk, then eats his breakfast. In fact he’s so used to it the family just lets Enzo do his thing.
