Golden retriever and guinea pig become the best of friends

They say that opposites make for a powerful match, and that’s certainly the case for the adorable Frankenstein and Pippin. Frank is a fun-loving and super speedy black-and-white guinea pig.

And while one might expect Frank’s best friend to be another cute guinea pig, she’s actually a totally different species. Pippin is a gorgeous Golden Retriever who is significantly bigger in size than her friend Frank.

And though they have quite a few differences, including their species, size, and gender, they have one very important thing in common. They love each other a whole lot.

Surprised? You’re not the only one. Most people would never expect this cute pair to become the best of friends. But Frankenstein really does adore Pippin. These two have such a great time together no matter what they’re doing, whether they’re taking a stroll or just relaxing on the sofa.

“He has to follow her everywhere she goes. He always has to be up under her when they’re outside. Some describe it like he’s on the remote control. Pippin really doesn’t mind her little shadow. She’s totally fine with it.”

Their human mom takes photos and videos of their adorable friendships together for YouTube and Instagram. Frank is always curiously following Pippin around wherever she goes. The family even ties a balloon onto Frank when they aren’t outside with Frank and Pippin so that they don’t lose Frank.

Frank is a big fan of cuddling with Pippin on the couch. Guinea pigs may not be the most notorious cuddlers, but Frank loves to snuggle up against his favorite pal, Pippin.

“If Pippin is on the couch, he has to be under her. He just becomes at ease. She’s his comfort pillow.”

An interesting fact is that guinea pigs generally prefer to exist in pairs, but Frank found his other half in the form of Pippin the dog, and they’re truly the perfect match for each other.

“He has a perfect companion with his doggy sister, Pippin. All he wants in his life is Pippin. He usually has to be touching her.”

Funny enough, Frank even forgets that he and Pippin aren’t comparable in size sometimes. Frank gets as close as to her as he can as often as possible.

Sometimes their human will tease Frank with Pippin’s tail, and they all enjoy the chaotic and adorable fun that ensues.

“Oh Frank, that tail will get you every time.”

This silly pair has one game that is particularly fun, in which Frank hides under the couch and jumps up to surprise Pippin. Sometimes, when Frank is being extra sassy, they have to use Pippin to lure Frank out from underneath the couch.

If Frank’s cage door closes, Pippin gets upset.

“They like to have full access to each other. You can see the happiness that she brings to him.”

Although no one expected these two to connect so strongly, they’ve developed a relationship that their owner describes as “unique.”

No one expected these two to hit it off quite as they did. They have a relationship their owner describes as “unique.” This crazy pair is not only a great duo for each other, but they keep their humans happy and entertained, too.
