So, when the Golden Friend Forever Kennel Hotel and Spa in Brazil decided to have a pool party for the golden retrievers it cared for, someone had to get it all on camera.
The results are glorious!
A perfect setup for dogs

Of course, the spa has its own specially designed pool that is perfect for dogs. The front of it has a gently sloping ramp that allows its furry clients to easily get in and out of the pool. The party included music and a few other dog friends thrown in for good measure.
As the video starts, the dogs are let through the gate into the pool area. All of the golden retrievers head immediately for the pool, many of them jumping in right away. The funniest part is the little white bulldog that is just content to run around the edge of the pool, content to have simply been invited to this exclusive gathering.
The dogs were happy to play and swim in the pool
The whole party was designed with dogs in mind. In addition to the gently sloping ramp that gave the dogs easy access to the pool, the pool itself was shallow enough to allow the dogs to stand if they wanted to. Or they could simply swim around, as many of them were satisfied to do.
The sides of the pool were also designed to allow the dogs to climb out whenever they wanted, making for a very relaxed environment.
Why golden retrievers love the water so much
As super strong swimmers, golden retrievers are great in the water and have been specifically bred for this feature. This stems from their use in hunting as retrievers of the waterfowl that their owners shoot down, usually over a lake or pond.
The dogs had the time of their lives
It is evident from the video that all of the dogs are having a great time, even the few who chose not to go into the water. Their energy is great, and they seem to be having the time of their lives. Whoever came up with the idea for a pool party deserves a promotion, or at the very least a raise.

On Facebook, the video ended up getting over 3.9 million views and 190,000 likes. It just goes to show that people love dogs and can’t seem to get enough of them, especially when they are having such a great time.
