Actress Goldie Hawn shows off her granddaughter, and people are astounded by the likeness
The resemblance between Hawn and her granddaughter is so strong that people online have taken the calling youngster Hawn’s “Mini-me.”
Goldie Hawn has achieved many amazing things throughout her life.
She’s maintained a successful acting career since the 1960s, won an Oscar, won a golden globe and set up a charitable foundation that provides aid to underprivileged children.
But there’s a whole other side to Hawn that doesn’t get anywhere near enough recognition: her amazing family.
She’s been in a relationship with the actor Kurt Russell since 1983. She also has three amazing children, the actors Oliver Hudson, Kate Hudson and Wyatt Russell.
And thanks to her three children, Hawn currently has a grand total of six grandchildren.
In many ways, they are the lights of her life. She loves nothing more than spending her free days with the tots.
The grandchildren all have an affectionate nickname for Hawn. No, not “nana” or “grannie” but “GoGo.”
And while Hawn could never pick a favorite grandchild, the internet sure has. People across the world have been wowed by the striking resemblance between Hawn and the six-year-old Rio.
Rio is the youngest child of Oliver Hudson, Hawn’s eldest child. She was born in 2013. And every picture of her proves that she’s just like a teeny tiny version of Hawn!
At Christmas 2019, Hawn posted a photo of Rio to her Instagram page. And people were taken with how much the young girl looked like her grandmother.
People have been saying things like this:
Luckily, Hawn has also posted some photos of herself with Rio, letting people see just how alike they are. And there’s no denying that they look very, very similar.
So will Rio grow up to also be a highly successful actor like her parents and grandparents? Only time will tell. But if she’s inherited Hawn’s acting skills as well as her appearance, then there’s little doubt that she could become an incredible performer!
Hawn’s love of youngsters is not just restricted to her own grandchildren, however. She’s made it her mission to help kids that really need it.
It all began in 2003, when she set up The Goldie Hawn Foundation.
“When I began The Goldie Hawn Foundation in 2003, I knew I had to do something to remedy the stress and anxiety children were experiencing. Every child deserves an equal chance to thrive, and so together with researchers, scientists and educators I created the MindUP program.” – Goldie Hawn
The MindUP program is the Goldie Hawn Foundation’s signature program, and it helps kids by giving “children the knowledge and tools they need to manage stress, regulate emotions and face the challenges of the 21st century with optimism, resilience and compassion.”
Hawn is even involving her lookalike granddaughter with MindUP/The Goldie Hawn Foundation. For instance, Hawn also recently shared a photo of herself and Rio together at an event for MindUP.
Rio and her siblings/cousins sure are lucky to have Goldie Hawn as their grandmother.
Thanks to her, they have so much love and also know the importance of giving back and helping the less fortunate. That’s something that all grandparents should teach to their grandchildren!
