Goldie Hawn recently shared an adorable picture on social media of her granddaughter Rio, and it is sure to warm your heart!

Oftentimes it’s easy to spot the physical resemblance between parents and their children, but what happens when you skip a generation? Hawn, 74, loves to post pictures of her large family on social media, and her recent snap of her six-year-old granddaughter, Rio, was no exception. It seems Rio not only inherited Hawn’s beautiful timeless looks but also her wild, fun-loving spirit.

Hawn shared the silly picture on Instagram of her granddaughter eating lunch with her legs flung up into the air.

She captioned the picture:

“Christmas lunch is Aspen with a chip off the old block! Happy upside down lunch to everyone everywhere”.

The resemblance is uncanny! Rio seems to perfectly mirror Hawn’s early career looks.

The post was well-received by fans, and many left comments admiring the sweet resemblance.

TODAY pointed out that she was called Goldie’s “mini me”. A fan commented:

“She looks so much like you!”

Another fan commented on her quirky personality:

“Something her grandma taught her??”

A few years back Hawn posted a picture of the two of them together at Rio’s preschool graduation. Fans couldn’t help but point out the likeness:

“Boy does she look like a mini me for you Goldie. Such a cutie pie!”

We may know Hawn as one of our favorite Hollywood stars, but to her multi-generational family and six grandchildren, she is affectionately known as “GoGo”.

Rio is one of Hawn’s six grandchildren and is the youngest child of her son Oliver Hudsons’s three kids. 12-year-old Wilder and 9-year-old Bodhi are Rio’s elder siblings. Hawn is also grandmother to 15-year-old Ryder, 8-year-old Bingham, and 1-year-old Rani.

Hawn is incredibly proud of her children.

She candidly spoke about them to TODAY in 2014:

“They’re unbelievable parents, I’m so proud of them. And they’re mirroring a lot of the way they were raised, and that just shows you how important it is to raise your children well because they will raise their kids well”.

She affectionately spends time with her family, along with her partner Kurt Russell. Together they value family the highest.

A source revealed to Closer Weekly that Hawn truly possesses a heart-warming bond with her grandchildren and that spending time together is her “favorite hobby”.

The insider shared:

“Imagine Goldie Hawn being your grandmother? It’s 24/7 fun and laughter.”

Goldie and her long time love Kurt Russell will reunite in 2020 on the big screen.

Perhaps you have a personal favorite Goldie Hawn film, but one of her most memorable movies is the 1987 classic, Overboard, starring both her and Kurt Russell. Hawn and Russel are one of the most iconic and longest-lasting relationships in Hollywood. They have been together for over 35 years, and have raised their children with nothing short of love. Their values show!

They reunited in 2018 for the Netflix film The Christmas Chronicles, their first film together since Overboard. This year, they’ll be joining up again to star in the sequel to the holiday movie, Christmas Chronicles 2, which will also be released on Netflix. Together, they are a force. Their endless love for each other and their family is a beautiful thing and it shows!
