Grandparents and grandchildren can bond over so many activities. But these two sound like they’ll be robbing a bank later!

Grandparents and grandchildren always get along so well. Why is that? There are many theories. Perhaps the most convincing explanation is that they have the same enemy.

This grandpa and granddaughter are two peas in a pod. In fact, they both share the same passion: crime! Ok, the grandpa may well be joking in this video. But there’s no harm in playing along with the multi-generational partners in crime.

One video perfectly shows the funny times that Grandpa Steve and baby Joeli have together.

One day, when Grandpa met his daughter and granddaughter in a diner, he got talking to the granddaughter. And even though baby Joeli couldn’t yet talk, she was clearly agreeing to the shady business that grandpa wanted her to help with afterward.

Melissa, Joeli’s mother and Steve’s daughter thought that the moment was so cute that she started to record it.

The video began with the grandpa nodding to his granddaughter. Then he asked her “You’re gonna happen?” Clearly, that meant, “Are you down for the robbery after this dinner?”

Then the baby babbled to the grandpa. The grandpa appeared to understand what Joeli was saying. “No, I don’t think so, because you just never know anything could go down.” The sooner that the baby learned that there’s no such thing as a foolproof plan in the world of crime the better.

The baby started babbling back to her grandpa again. The grandpa appeared to understand what Joeli was saying and responded ‘Ok, let’s do it.” Soon one bank would find itself with a lot less cash!

The two kept on devising the logistics of their heist for a while and the video cut out.

Melissa thought that the video was great and uploaded it to YouTube. Many people agreed with her, because soon it had gone viral. To date, the video has managed to gain more than 1.5 million views. It also has 14,000 likes.

It’s great that the granddad and granddaughter in this video are getting along so well.

In fact, it’s surprising to know that for a long time in the 20th century, societies often considered grandparents to be a negative influence on their grandchildren’s lives.

For instance, in the 1930s and 40s professional medical journals, such as The American Journal of Orthopsychiatry, would publish case studies with names like “The Grandmother: A Problem in Child Rearing,” and “Grandma made Johnny Delinquent.”

But then again, who knows, perhaps the authors of those studies had it right? Perhaps the grandpa in that video was really plotting to use his granddaughter as an accomplice in a spectacular crime. After all, no one suspects a kindly old man and his baby granddaughter.

Of course, the above paragraph is a joke.

Thankfully, society has realized that the more time grandparents spend with grandchildren the better!

In fact, it’s a win-win for everybody (except for the banks that the grandparents and grandchildren are robbing!)
