Grandpa likes to scare away telemarketer using his spot-on ‘Donald Duck’ voice

Telemarketers are the bane of anyone who spends any significant time at home. Always calling and trying to sell their product or service at the most inconvenient times. One man has found a unique way to deal with telemarketing calls and it uses a talent that he has had for over 70 years.

When Donald Sizemore received a call from a telemarketer, he knew exactly how to handle it. Since childhood, Sizemore has been able to mimic the voice of the iconic Disney character Donald Duck. With over 70 years of experience doing Donald’s voice, he has learned how to put it to good use.

The call was caught on video

A video of the telemarketing call gone wrong was posted to his wife, Gayle’s Facebook. It has been viewed over 79,000 times and has led to Sizemore becoming a hit online. After a video of the call was posted to YouTube, it ended up getting over 7.6 million views.

In the video, Sizemore asks for the phone from his wife using the trademark Disney character’s voice. The telemarketer probably didn’t even know what hit her as Sizemore responded to her pitch. Everything seems to be going according to the telemarketer’s script, at least until Sizemore begins to speak.

“Hewhoah? Hewwwwhoooooah, are you dhere?” Sizemore asks in the video.

The woman, at first unaware of what is going on, makes her pitch. Something to do with medication, but Sizemore does not let her get far.

He responds in the lovable duck’s voice, “Ohhhh, doah, am I in tawubble?”

The telemarketer soon realizes she is being had and hangs up the phone. Hopefully, she wasn’t too upset. It seemed Sizemore turned the tables on her, wasting her time with something she wasn’t really interested in hearing.

According to Gayle, Sizemore has always been lighthearted, especially when it comes to suing Donald Duck’s voice. He sang the song, “I Love You Truly” for the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary.

Taking Sizemore’s popularity in stride

When asked about the video’s popularity, Gayle had no idea it would be so popular. After the video became a hit, she had this to say about it:

“Oh, my goodness no. I posted it on my Facebook (which is private) and both of my daughters called me dying laughing begging me to make it public so they could share it on their Facebook. They never dreamed of this either. They just wanted to share their funny dad with their friends.”

The first time Gayle heard Sizemore’s Donald Duck impersonation was on their first date. If her name had been Daisy, it would have been an even more perfect matchup than they already are.
