Whenever we see a loved one that we haven’t seen in a long time, we can’t help but feel mixed emotions. We will have happy tears, we will laugh because of happiness, and we’ll cry because we have missed this person so much.

Imagine not seeing your beloved sibling for five long years?

This is the story of a sweet and thoughtful grandpa who decided to surprise his beloved sister. It’s not just a story of a brother visiting his sister – it’s all about memories, love, and how far you will go to see your beloved sister.

Bob Taylor, 84, and his sister Mary Pine, 95, have always been sweet with each other. They used to call each other and talk about their daily lives.

Imagine being at this age and still being close with your sibling?

They also love surprising each other. It was just one of the many ways to show how much they love and care for each other. Last 2016, Mary even traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, to surprise her younger brother, Bob, in his home.

The unsuspecting Bob went inside his home, then he heard Mary’s voice, and he quickly hugged her. This was the last time they saw each other until this year.

Time flies so fast, and due to the pandemic, they didn’t see each other again, but last July 4, Mary was in for a big and sweet surprise.

Bob knew that it was almost his sister’s birthday, and he had already made up his mind. He called his granddaughters, Kenzie Hardin, 24, and Morgan Taylor, 27, to accompany him on a very long drive to Amber, Pennsylvania.

The 13-hour drive to Pennsylvania wasn’t easy for Bob because of his age. But his heart longs for his sister, and that was enough reason for him to go through the trip.

On Mary’s special day, the caring and kind staff at Mary’s care facility requested her into a facility room. Mary didn’t have an idea of what was about to happen.

As Mary entered the room, she slowly remembered the happy faces that greeted her with sweet greetings.

She was already so happy with the greetings. As she entered, she noticed more familiar faces, then she slowly realized what was happening. When she saw her little brother, her heart melted.

The old woman started to cry, and then she hugged her brother so tight.

Tears of happiness were seen flowing on the old woman’s face. It was indeed a very memorable and happy birthday for Mary.

You’ll see how they have missed each other. Five years is not a joke, and they loved each other so much. They looked like little kids who longed for each other – their love was so pure and sweet.

Comments of love poured in. One comment said:

“Wow. Imagine being 94 and still bless to say “I’m going to surprise my big sister.” Unbelievable. That close in age you know they were each other childhood playmates, like twins.”

Another comment shared how she had a hard time watching this sweet video.
