Huge greyhound jumps for joy when dad puts on his pants

Dogs are naturally happy, fun, and outgoing creatures. They get excited over food, other dogs, or just us playing with them can make them go over the roof.

Of course, nothing makes them more enthusiastic than seeing us taking their leash as we call them to go out for a walk.

It’s as if nothing else can make them happy than the idea of being able to go outside and walk with their favorite human. From the way they respond, you would think that it was the happiest moment in their lives.

Walking your dog is so much more than just regular potty breaks. It actually provides mental stimulation, behavioral training, socialization, and of course physical exercise. Walking with them regularly provides a basic foundation for their physical and mental health.

The Animal Foundation says:

“Your dog is dependent on you to take them out to explore the sights, smells, and sounds of the world. This is why it’s also good to vary the places you take your pet as dog much as possible. You’ve probably noticed how busy (and excited) your dog gets when he or she is walking, so let them enjoy every opportunity to discover!”

Dogs get to be healthy and happy at the same time!

They also added:

“Exercise needs are based on your dog’s age, breed, size, and overall health, but a good rule of thumb is you should spend at least 30 minutes every day on an activity with your dog. Younger dogs and dogs bred for sports or herding activities may need much more.”

Just like this video of a huge, excited Greyhound jumping up and down after seeing his human.

Falcon is a black Greyhound who obviously LOVES going on walks. We can see him leaping up and down after his dad, Matt went down and put on his pants.

He knew what was about to happen and once his dad went down, Falcon showed his excitement. Dogs are smart and are sensitive to ritual and change, and Falcon knew what “putting pants on” really meant. All that’s left was putting on his leash and off they go.

Seeing such a huge dog jumping high up isn’t something that we see every day, so viewers were having a great time watching the video.

Some commented:

“I love how he jumps so when he sees his owner is getting dressed!”

“My greyhound gets the same way when he sees me putting on walking shoes. He always thinks he’s going for a walk too.”
“Other pups watch safely behind you on the stairs….Super Cute! Greyhounds are the best! <3”
With Falcon’s height and how high he can jump, he definitely looks more like a kangaroo! Walking out with your dog can also be highly beneficial to you since you both exercise at the same time. And of course, it also helps tighten and grown your bond to your number one pooch.
