Say hello to Gody.

He’s a sweet little puppy that gave his owner the shock of a lifetime after getting himself into a spot of trouble.

Pet owners of animals big and small have undoubtedly shared a caught-in-the-act moment with them at some point in time.

Often pets are left to their own devices during the day, and while we may like to entertain the thought that they’re sitting perfectly still, awaiting our return, this is rarely the case. Animals will be animals, and the moments that we catch them being just that are sometimes the most charming ones.

While we will never be pleased with our favorite sock being eaten, or the vegetable garden being dug up, we continue to hold space in our hearts for our furry friends. It is indeed their naive curiosity that makes them so adorable.

One day Gody’s owner found him in a shocking position. When the corgi’s owner came looking for him, what he found almost made him faint. It was Gody, lying motionless on his back, in what looked to be a puddle of blood!

Automatically the man leapt to try and help his lifeless puppy.

The gory scene was enough to cause panic. But the truth was far better.

As the man examined the troubling scene before him, he came to a comical and comforting realization: this was not blood, it was fruit juice!

The sticky, sweet red substance that was all over the dog and the floor was actually dragonfruit. The puppy had showed his favor by rolling around in it, staining his fur and causing quite the scene.

Much to his owner’s relief, he allowed himself to calm down after investigating the crime. He was able to have a laugh about everything as he photographed his gory puppy to share on the internet. Come to find out, Gody has so many adventures that his owner created his own Facebook page for him, Candy The Corgi Official. The popular Facebook page documents fun puppy moments in Vietnam and has over 89k followers.

Panicked followers rushed to comment on the Facebook post that won the attention of thirteen thousand likes and four thousand comments. Some laughed, some cried, and others shared similar incidents:

“Once I left my dog and cat in too long. Came home and the dog greeted me with blood red over his mouth and paws. Was convinced he had eaten the cat. We went room to room to find he had been eating my sister’s lipstick on her bed lol.”

The biggest relief of the entire situation was the harmlessness. Thankfully, the dragonfruit was innocent enough.

Gody’s owner revealed to Bored Panda in an interview:

“Because he’s a baby, like other baby dogs, he likes to get himself dirty and sleep a lot. He also loves to eat fruits.”

His owner also revealed that they are in the on-going process of training him, which will helpfully tame the strong wills that Corgis seem to have.
