Chef shares trick for 'frying' egg in microwave and it will save you minutes in the morning

They say that we should eat breakfast like a king. We always hear this thing but isn’t it interesting to know why it has to be in the morning and not in the afternoon or during dinner when most of us are wide awake?

Why is it advisable to eat heavy meals in the morning?

According to Livestrong, there is a study that confirms that it’s true. They also claim that eating breakfast can be an effective weight-loss tactic especially if you will skip eating dinner.

“the best possible eating schedule for weight loss would be a huge breakfast, a decent-size lunch and then basically fasting the rest of the day.”

Another website, which is Better Health Channel also tackled the benefits of having a heavy breakfast. The first thing that breakfast does is fills up energy and nutrients in your body. It also has plenty of health benefits so basically, if you don’t eat meals in the morning, it might result to unhealthy diet.

“People who skip breakfast tend to nibble on snacks during the mid-morning or afternoon. This can be a problem if those snacks are low in fibre, vitamins and minerals, but high in fat and salt. Without the extra energy that breakfast can offer, some people feel lethargic and turn to high-energy food and drinks to get them through the day.”

If you are a morning person, this is something easy for you.

However, for those who are not, it is kind of tough. People who are going to work early in the morning also have tendencies to skip breakfast. As well all know, preparing and eating breakfast can be time-consuming. Thankfully, there are many chefs out there who share breakfast hacks that can save you even a few minutes.

One of them is David Chang

Last month, he posted a video on his Instagram account where he shared how to cook egg without a frying pan. All you need is a microwave-safe bowl, cooking spray, and microwave. This is a hack that will save you some minutes in the morning.

Here are the steps:

1. Grab the microwave-safe bowl and mist a little amount of cooking spray.

2. Crack an egg into the bowl and leave it as it is. If you want, you can also pinch a small amount of salt.

3. You can now put the bowl inside the microwave and cook it at 30% power for about 1 minute and 30 seconds.

4. Take the bowl out from the microwave and you can now enjoy the egg without cleaning a frying pan right after!

That’s pretty easy, right?

Well, you can also use your microwave in cooking scrambled eggs. The only difference is you would have to cook it in the microwave for about 45 seconds (high) and then you would have to get it again to stir it. Lastly, put it back inside the microwave and leave it there for about 30 to 45 seconds. That’s it!
