Most people find it hard to maintain their balance on top of a field of ice, what more when gliding and sliding on it?

And for the kids, ice skating usually takes countless practice and guidance, either from their parents or from professional teachers.

This young girl, however, defies gravity on top of ice because she can transform into something beautiful and magical.

This viral video shows one of her awesome performances, it has been uploaded on YouTube just a little over a year ago but it has already amassed almost four million views!

Her name is Veronica Zhilina and she is the next big thing in figure skating!

She is a Russian figure skater and although she’s just a young girl, her skills are already off the charts. In this video, she wows the crowd with her heartfelt yet magnificent routine to Hallelujah.

She takes the center of the ice skating rink and she’s holding something that emits light. Then, she faces the crowd, lifts it, and waves at them.

Surprisingly, the crowd also yields the same orb-like thing and they wave back at her. It’s like a scene in a concert.

As soon as she drops it, she begins with her stunning routine.

She gracefully glides through the ice arena, showing everyone the elegance and beauty of the sport. Everyone in attendance is savoring every second of Veronica’s performance.

As the song progresses, she goes one notch faster, then lifts one leg and holds it upright, all the while sliding! She is just trying to warm up, wait until she unleashes the “beast” in her.

Russian is known for bringing such talents in every kind of sport and Veronica here is just one of the many examples of their world-class athletes.

She just turned 12 in 2020, so it’s almost safe to say she was 10 or 11 years old when this video was taken.

Being born with such an impeccable talent is already a gift but to be able to perform in front of a humongous crowd is another thing. Thankfully, Veronica doesn’t shy away from showing the entire world what she has.

In fact, just last year, an Instagram video of her nailing a quadruple toe loop during a training session in Moscow went viral hitting over 54,000 views!

Is she really the next big thing, particularly in the Winter Olympic Games?

It’s never too far from happening in real life, right? With a talent like hers, we’re certain that she can make it to such a prestigious sporting event as the Olympic Games.

In this routine, she pulls off a technically difficult jump which they call a double axel (if that’s not a triple). It sure looks like she has already mastered both the basics and complexities of the sport.

She seems so light on her feet with every spin that she does, it almost looked like she’s gliding on melting butter with her smooth but fast-paced movements.

She’s able to execute her routine perfectly from start to finish, leaving everyone watching in total awe. The audience gives love back to her by showing her loud cheers and rounds of applause.

Veronica is now under the supervision of two-time Olympic gold medalist Evgeni Plushenko. In no time, she will turn into a strong contender. And who knows, she might really conquer the world stage someday.
