Helene Fischer brings Elvis “back to life” in a legendary duet
It has been more than forty years since the music icon and “King of Rock & Roll” Elvis Presley left this world. Some of his classics have been given new life over the years. Thanks to the help of modern technology, it is now even possible to perform a heartfelt duet.
In more recent times, artists like Celine Dion, Susan Boyle, and Martina McBride were lucky enough to “take the stage” with The King. Helene Fischer is another vocalist, whose “live” duet with Elvis was beautifully done.

This one particular duet stands out.
The Wonder of You is a compilation album of Elvis Presley’s songs. The songs have been recorded with the accompaniment of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Fischer was very lucky to have had the opportunity to contribute to Elvis’ 2016 posthumous album. In the album is a bonus track of “Just Pretend,” and it’s a special duet between Fischer and The King.
In one of Helene Fischer’s shows in 2016, she gave her audience an unforgettable surprise.
Fischer is in the middle of the stage with a large screen to her side. Suddenly, the late Elvis Presley lights up the screen, and the music to “Just Pretend” begins playing in the background.
As Fischer stands silently, Elvis begins to sing the first lines of the song with his iconic voice. The footage was from 1970, but it gave the illusion that he was present that evening for the televised event.
After a few lines, Fischer takes over and sings like an angel.
Fischer is not very popular in the United States. But hearing her perform this duet will turn anyone into a fan. Some viewers even felt she reminded them of a young Olivia Newton-John.
