It’s always an exciting moment when someone finds their calling. But it’s even better to witness it!

There’s something special about seeing someone doing what they love. It’s even better seeing a young person showcase their talents right before our eyes!

Five young men from Lake Howell High School got to showcase their talents and their passion to the world. Nigel, Dylan, Matt, Elias, and Jordan performed at their high school’s talent show and wowed their peers and their parents with their drumming skills.

A school’s talent show is obviously the perfect time for young people to showcase their talents and passions. It’s where the quiet kids feel comfortable with being a little bit loud. It’s where those who may not be as popular, debut to the world that they’re some serious stars in the making.

One of the best surprises though? “Band geeks.” Talent shows are where these kids impress their community with their skills. These five guys in this video definitely deliver.

Not only is their performance stellar, but it’s entertaining and fun! In the video, the guys sport some eye-catching Scottish kilts. Throughout the performance, they joke and tease one another garnering major laughs from the audience.

All of them have great rhythm and mind-blowing stick skills. They toss and twirl their sticks throughout and even play on one another’s drums. In fact, their interactions are easily the best parts aside from their undeniable skills.

They do many “domino effects” where one of the members on the end plays a part and then the member next to him does the same. They continue this until it reaches the other end.

Near the beginning, there’s an element of comedy where the last guy at the end doesn’t fall in line with the effect. It isn’t until his neighbor gently kicks him does he fall in line.

It definitely doesn’t hurt when they add some dance moves to the mix. These aren’t just randomized dances either. We’re talking choreographed movements, here! They shake their hips from side-to-side and even hold a pose while one of the drummers performs an awesome solo.

It’s easy to see how they won first place. The routine is mesmerizingly great. The crowd cheers throughout as the guys concentrate on their performance while managing to sneak in a grin and a smile here and there.

This, of course, only increases the cheers and high-pitched screams that come from the audience.

When you think their set couldn’t get any better, they break out in song. Yes, actual singing! In loud and deep voices, they chant the words, “Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you!”

It’s great, really. One even manages to point to a member of the audience as if to serenade a particular person. They seem to be having a friendly competition as the two guys on the right try and out-sing the three on the left.

They can’t keep straight faces themselves and the audience is loving every minute of it. Even a male audience member shouts, “Yeah!” as the guys begin to bang on their drums again.

The young man in the middle even plays behind his back and with his teeth! He tosses his sticks like it’s second-nature and manages to keep his sticks in rhythm even when they’re in his teeth!

At the end, the guys turn around, bend over, and reveal the shorts they’re wearing under the kilts. It truly is a routine to remember.
