Grandmas are the best. They always welcome us with open arms and spoil us rotten. Sometimes we get so spoiled that we like to think we can pull a fast one on our unsuspecting grannies. As this hip-to-the-game grandma shows, though, you should never mess with the master.

The Canada-based granny showed us just how awesome she is a couple of years ago when she showed up at the Toronto airport to greet her two grandsons who’d flown in to visit her.

What made it so epic was what the hilarious grandma decided to wear; a giant T-Rex blow-up costume.

As you can imagine, the kids were in total shock seeing their grandma come out as an enormous dinosaur. There’s no question that she definitely got the better of them. What she also did was spark a dino prank war!

When the grandma told her daughter, Tabitha Cooper, that she was coming to visit them at their home in Shawnigan Lake, BC, the mom thought it’d be a good time to help her boys get their granny back.

Inflatable costumes have been gaining more and more popularity in recent years, and for good reason. It’s next to impossible to keep from cracking up when you catch a glimpse of somebody in one. This is ten times more true when that somebody is your grandma!

Following the rule of “do unto others” when coming up with the perfect payback for their grandma, the boys decided to pull a page from her book. The boys got their very own blow-up dino costumes to surprise grandma in.

Before heading over to Victoria International Airport to pick up her mother, Tabitha helped her boys dress up in their Velociraptor getups.

As they showed up at the airport ready to blow their grandma’s mind, Tabitha pulled out her camera to record what was sure to be the perfect prank. Thankfully she did because grandma had hatched a plan of her own.

In the video below, the dino-bros are waiting for grandma to exit.

As they do, though, people start noticing another very odd site. Lo and behold, a huge T-Rex was daintily making its way toward the exit!

Apparently, the comical granny figured the joke had worked before, so why not see if she could pull it off again? As the smaller velociraptors attacked the big T-Rex in a flurry of hugs while chasing her in circles, everyone who saw exploded with laughter. Can you blame them? How often do you get to witness a whacky, prehistoric dino family reunion, after all?

Just seeing the grandma come out in her T-Rex outfit is enough to make you lose it.

She waddles her way through the exit holding a cup of coffee in one hand while she pulls her pink suitcase behind her with her tiny T-Rex arm in the other. It’s too hysterical not to watch. There aren’t a whole lot of grannies out there willing to go out of their way like this just to keep a good prank going.

People gathered round in a fit of laughter as the grandma’s reptilian grandkids pummeled her with one hug after another.

The best part about this prank is that the grandma still got the better of her grandkids even when they were trying to give her a little payback.

The boys had no idea granny was going to get them twice with the same prank as before. Being that the airport isn’t everyone’s favorite place to be, it was the perfect spot for this epically hilarious, and now on-running, family prank war. Everyone got to have a good belly laugh, airport passersby included.

It turns out that grandma wasn’t working alone in pulling off her prank for the second time.

According to The Columbia Valley Pioneer, the grandma thought ahead and packed her T-Rex costume in her carry-on. Before making her way to the exit, she persuaded security staff to help her out with the prank by helping her get her costume on.

While there’s no question that all grandmas rock, there’s also no doubt that this Granny-Saurus has set the bar pretty high when it comes to pulling a fast one on her grandkids. To see the hysterical moment for yourself, watch the video below.
