Needless to say, being homeless is hard, actually harder than you could ever imagine.

And as we all know it, homelessness doesn’t only apply to humans, but also to domestic animals like cats and dogs. They tirelessly wander almost everywhere scraping for food, not knowing the dangers waiting for them in this cruel world.

Talking about dangers and the world, we’re devastated by the recent clash between Russia and Ukraine. It did a catastrophic effect on a global scale and it affected everyone with no exemptions. A lot of Ukraine nationals and even foreigners were forced to leave the country to avoid the war, resulting in home pets being abandoned.

However, that didn’t stop Ukrainians from saving each one of these poor animals. Non-profit organizations and people are still united as one in rescuing homeless pets, they are not stopping from their advocacy – not even the war could.

A beautiful soul.

The founder of a Ukraine-based group called Love Furry Friends is one kindhearted being because together with her team, they continue to help homeless animals – one rescue at a time.

That’s why when their team learned about the story of a dog who had been living in a gas station, they quickly jumped into action to save her. When they arrived at the location, they immediately saw the poor doggo walking around with hopes of being fed by strangers. Sadly, most people were just minding their own business and overlooking the pitiful condition of the stray furball.

The gas station faces a dangerous road, really not conducive to being a living space for a dog or any creature. With the high-speeding vehicles on the road, one wrong move, and she’s gone. On the other side of the road is a grassy field which she went to as an alternative since no one in the gas station was giving her any food.

Love Furry Friends’ founder coordinated with the workers at the gas station and she was told that the dog has already given birth to litters of puppies in the area before. Although they found no pups with her at that moment, they wanted to make sure her next babies will be safe so they decided to take her home and change her life forever.

First stop, to a veterinarian.

They eventually named her Linda and they first made sure that she was healthy and not hiding any type of illness. The vet said she was approximately 2 years old, she was given medication for parasites and vaccines that she needed.

After her check-up, Linda had her very first visit to a pet groomer. There, she was given something that she haven’t had in a while – a fresh bath! They also trimmed her fur to give her a new and refreshing look.

Adorable Linda also gobbled in decent dog food and had her very first sleep in a comfy bed. She dozed off immediately after having a quick playtime with another rescued pup. The Love Furry Friends’ founder also took her for walks outside while on a leash and by the looks of it, she was really having a blast!

After making sure she was fine and healthy, they put Linda up for adoption and it didn’t take long before adoption offers came in pouring. Soon after, she was finally adopted by her new forever family who took her to their home where she’d be treated like a real family member.

Everyone was truly happy with how this story ended up.
