Man captures homeless man giving dogs a birthday party on camera and changes his life
As much as we want to try, we can never explain the bond between dogs and humans.
As we evolved into the species we are today, we have always considered our pets as family.
This is especially true for dogs.
This kind of love can be seen anywhere, from dogs in strollers, or dogs in shirts or on human beds.
And this heartwarming video showed the extent of that love.
A passerby filmed an incredible interaction between a man and his dogs.
In a park in Bucaramanga, Colombia, the park-goer secretly filmed a man who was splayed against the stony stairs.
With him were two well-behaved dogs.
The scene seemed a bit strange, though, or a bit special.
The passerby must’ve taken the video because they noticed that the dogs were even more adorable with their party hats on.
The man was someone called Choco.
At one point in the video, Choco shuffles through his bag.
A few moments after, he brought out something that has a plastic cover.
He set it down beside him and astonishingly, the dogs didn’t lunge at what seemed to be cake.
He placed some candles on the cake and lit them up.
They weren’t celebrating Choco’s birthday.
They were actually celebrating Shaggy’s, one of the dogs, 4th birthday.
After carefully preparing their meager yet well-appreciated spread, Choco began singing to the dogs.
Shaggy’s only visitors were Choco and Nena, but you can tell that they’re all happy just to be there and celebrate the milestone together.
After the candles were blown out, it was time for the party.
While their party doesn’t have speakers, DJs, or fanfare, their love for each other is loud.
Choco gave each dog a kiss on the cheek.

Then, Choco pulled out a small plastic knife from his bag.
At that moment, the dogs began to perk up because they obviously know what happens next.
Choco sliced the cake.
And he gave the first servings to his dogs.
The cake and the candles may have cost him a lot of money but for the two dogs who have been with him, Choco knows that they deserve the world and he will give as much of it as his means will allow.

Choco can even be seen wiping some of his tears but who can blame him?
At this point, maybe all of them are crying.
The man wasn’t done with Choco.
The man who took the video talked to Choco after the video.
It was revealed that Choco ran away from an abusive household and only has Shaggy and Nena for company.

The video allowed help to stream into Choco’s family.
The park where the party was shot became a meeting point for animal lovers who donated supplies to Choco.
Choco’s world has changed since then.
He was gifted a phone and he started an Instagram account for himself and his dogs.
He shared that he wished to become a musician and open an animal shelter.

Whatever he or his dogs wished for that night was slowly coming true.
We hope that when Nena’s birthday comes in November, they’ll have plenty more to celebrate.
