Stray dogs are just as loyal and loving as any other.

They are loyal, friendly, and lovable. This is why it’s so horrible that they have to suffer while living on the street.

Despite this situation, however, there are always people who will go above and beyond to help. In fact, homeless people, in a generous display of affection and care, often take these dogs under their wing.

Taking care of a dog while being homeless is a big responsibility.

And Steve, a homeless man living in California, knows just how hard it can be.

For Steve, life has been very difficult. He has been homeless for more than a decade after suffering many misfortunes.

Far from falling into a destructive path, Steve decided to do the most beautiful and venerable act. He decided to spend every single penny he earned to take care of every homeless dog he found.

He knew the dogs were facing a difficult situation just like him.

A couple of months after this decision, Steve had established a little crew of homeless dogs. He was taking care of them, feeding them, and even giving them shelter.

Fifteen years later, he decided to go to Indiana to visit one of his dearest friends.

The problem with this situation was that he had to take 11 dogs with him. Because he didn’t have a car, he created his own vehicle. It was a combination of a bike and a shopping cart.

His intention was to take the dogs with him as safely as possible. So once he created the makeshift vehicle and tested it, the trip to Indiana began.

The turning point in this story was when he met Alicia.

He was moving slowly on the vehicle when she saw he was exhausted. Then she asked him if he was ok and asked him about his story. As you can imagine, his answer was quite surprising for her.

After hearing about his situation and the dogs he was taking care of, Alicia took a major step.

She spoke with some local rescuers to explain the situation and told the story on social media.

Within just a couple of hours, they found a pet-friendly motel. Now Steve wouldn’t have to camp out every single night.

When people caught wind of Steve’s story on social media, they started sending him food in support. And not only for him but also for the eleven dogs.

What’s even better was that he received a wide variety of dog food. As you can imagine, this was important since the dogs were of different ages and health conditions.

With the number of donations he received, he treated his pups to the best of the best. Soon enough, he was even able to buy a big trailer for him and his little buddies!

As you can imagine, Steve managed to get to Indiana in the safest manner.

But the most positive thing is that he also changed his life. After so much suffering for him and his dogs, they were now living well and happy.

Steve is still taking care of his dogs, and they are happier than ever before.

This is the greatest example that shows that doing the good thing is always rewarded- no matter how long you have to wait!
