We’ve all had unannounced visitors show up at our homes at unusual times. But usually, these visitors are human.

Knock, knock. Who’s there? Horse. Horse who? Your pet horse. That doesn’t make for a good joke, but it makes for one amazing video.

Horses are amazing animals. Most of the time, they’re friendly, hardworking and polite houseguests. Yes, that’s right. Polite houseguests. Most people have never let a horse into their home. But this video shows why you should.

It all began when the family heard a knocking at their door. The family’s niece, Kate, answered the door and couldn’t believe who was waiting on the other side.

It was Jesse, the family horse. Clearly, the horse wanted to spend some quality time with the rest of the family. So the family let the horse in.

The horse trotted inside. Luckily, the home was large, and the horse had plenty of room to roam.

Then the horse did something unexpected. In the living room, the TV was on, and the horse stopped in front of it. Friends was playing on the TV.

Apparently, the horse had already seen that episode, so he switched his attention to the family’s exercise bike.

Then the niece dropped a carrot onto the couch. Jesse gladly munched at the carrot. What a nice welcome that the family was giving to the horse!

The horse’s “brother,” the family dog, Runner, then walked in, excited to see what was happening.

Next, Jesse walked up to the family’s houseplant and considered taking a nibble. But the family told him to not take a bite, as it wasn’t food but part of the decor!

Kate wanted to relax, so she lay down on the sofa. Jesse walked up to Kate and started to kiss her. The mom of the household, who was filming, explained that Jesse gets spoiled by Kate. Although that’s pretty obvious considering that Kate allows Jesse to come into the family home!

Jesse then wanted to venture further into the home. But the family stopped him.

Kate tried to make Jesse follow her outside. But the horse stopped in the center of the living room. He just didn’t want to leave the comfort of the home!

Then the horse started scratching at the carpet. This was a sign that he wanted to go to the bathroom, so the family realized that they better get the horse out pronto!

Still, the horse wouldn’t leave. Kate thought that the horse wanted to lie down. But the family thought it would be best for Jesse to do so outdoors.

Then Kate picked up a carrot and tried to lure Jesse outside once more. The horse tried to stay in, but eventually, the temptation of the carrot was too strong, and he followed Kate outdoors.

The video ended there. Luckily, the family soon uploaded it to YouTube, where it went viral in no time.

To date, the video has gained over 19 million views. It also has over 11,000 likes and 1,000 comments. People have been saying things like this:

So is there a chance that horses could become housepets? It seems unlikely, as horses are just so large. And can they ever really be housebroken? Still, Jesse sure did seem to love indoor living.
