Horse trailers are being transformed into campers and they look awesome
Horse trailers are vehicles used to transport, well, horses. In Australia and New Zealand, these mobiles are commonly known as “horse floats” while in the British Isles, they are widely called “horseboxes”. The designs are varied but the size is usually enough to carry two to three horses to bring them from one place to another.
These horse trailer vans are made for the purpose of moving ponies, but as it turns out, they can be more than just that.
In the past decades, people have seen these vehicles for only the purpose they were created for. But, recently, people have reimagined the horse trailers and started to turn them into campers. Sounds cool? They actually look as incredible as they sound, too!

Fred Cote, a resident of British Columbia, Canada, has decided to buy a 1970s horse trailer and re-purpose it. He thought of changing it into a camper trailer and it is definitely a project worth all the effort!
When Fred bought the old trailer, he expected to find it in a not so good shape. True to his expectations, the vehicle is not just rusty, its paint is also wearing off and it looks really ancient. With one look at the vehicle, Fred knew exactly what to do.
He immediately jumped into action and removed the rusty exterior. He left the frames but gutted most of its parts inside and outside. The trailer looked even worse than before after what Fred did. The trailer was not a pleasant sight…YET.

As Fred got to work, he made sure that everything is well-fitted and with purpose. He proceeded on making the frames of the chairs inside the trailer and lined the walls with insulation.

Some more hard labor later, Fred has successfully re-created the framing inside the trailer and painted it into a lovely canary yellow. The change is already amazing, and he hasn’t even begun with the interior design yet!

Fred lined the inside of the trailer with birch wood, added a kitchen area, benches, and a mini toilet hidden under one of the benches. Everything was made with a specific purpose and that is for the trailer to be a perfectly cozy camper for the family. The happy color inside and outside the camper is such a refreshing sight!

And when it’s finally time to sleep, Fred also made sure that the occupants of the camper will be able to comfortably sleep. One of the benches can be extended into a queen-sized bed. Wow!

Who would have thought this marvelous yellow camper was once a 1970s horse trailer? It has undergone an epic transformation indeed.
Fred deserves to enjoy this fabulous piece of heaven on Earth that he has created out of pure creativity and imagination.
