Man taken aback when he hears his wife sing for the first time in 7 years
Being behind the wheel requires a lot of focus and concentration. Thereās not much to do–unless you want to end up in an accident. Now, while you canāt read a book or text your friends, you can still listen to music. Who knows? You might come across a song you really like. One that you want to sing along to.
“Car karaokes” are one of the most popular viral videos found on the internet.
These viral videos became famous thanks to the likes of James Corden. It’s proven to be a universal pastime among all drivers. Whether you’re a police officer, a paramedic, or a regular civilian, singing in the car is something we all do. Distance doesn’t matter if you’ve always got a song in your heart.
Admittedly, talent varies from person to person. But thatās one of the best things about singing in the car: you donāt have to be a professional to enjoy your favorite tunes. And you donāt always have to sing by yourself when you can sing with your family present. Usually, this can leave your family feeling embarrassed.
One husband was surprised by his wifeās singing abilities on the road.
Chase Knight, a 30-year-old CrossFit trainer, husband, and father of two, was driving with his family through Kansas City, Missouri. He was filming his wife, 33-year-old Jocelyn Knight, singing her heart out.
The bespectacled wife gave a breathtaking passenger seat performance.
As Lake Street Diveās soulful rock song, āI donāt care about you,ā played on the radio, Chase couldnāt keep his wide ear-to-ear smile as Jocelyn channeled her inner blues and delivered the lyrics with passion and enthusiasm.
Knight had never heard his wife sing before in their seven years of marriage.
It shows that no matter how long you might be with your better half, there are still plenty of opportunities to be surprised by their hidden talents. It can be cooking, being great with kids, or showing off your impressive set of pipes.
After the singing finished, Knight turned the camera to the two young children sitting in their backseat booster seats with a less-than-enthusiastic reaction. 6-year old Liam and 4-year-old Leonidas had nothing to say.
āGuys,ā Knight asked, ādoes mommy have a pretty singing voice?ā
The children, rather than share their fatherās enthusiasm, remained quiet and aloof.
Sometimes, children can be the harshest critics. But instead of feeling down from their cold critique, the parents just laughed. While their children might not be fans, the 1.6 million views the one-minute video gained since posted in 2019 say otherwise.
Even after almost a decade, marriage can still be full of surprises when we least expect them. If singing in the car is something you do without any shame, then you’ll love watching this video.
