Some wives say their husbands hardly pay attention to them, but it would seem that this one woman’s husband doesn’t pay attention to anything. It would seem that he would end up in the proverbial dog house, but fortunately, everything worked out in the end.

Will the real BooBear please stand up?

When Rudy Salazar from San Jose, California, went to pick up his wife’s dog, BooBear, from the groomer, he thought he was doing her a favor. Little did he realize the firestorm he was about to start. Entering the groomers, he said he was there for CoCo. The attendant behind the counter thought nothing of it as she handed off her client’s little white dog.

Rudy had picked up the wrong dog

Only after arriving home did Rudy’s wife CoCo inform him that he had brought home the wrong dog. It seemed the groomer had handed him a dog named CoCo, instead of BooBear. And while the two pups looked alike to Rudy, his wife, CoCo, definitely knew right away that her husband had brought home the wrong dog.

Granted, the two dogs did look very similar, so who can blame Rudy. Rudy was quick to fix the mix-up, taking the BooBear impersonator back to the groomer. Rudy and CoCo’s son Rudy posted a video of the moment when his mom realized his dad had brought home the wrong dog to Twitter, where it quickly went viral.

A lesson learned

The whole experience was probably very confusing for the little, white dog CoCo. Hopefully, there were no lasting effects from the mix-up. Both pups found their rightful homes, and dad learned a lesson, to look a little closer the next time he picked up BooBear from the groomer.

And for her part, CoCo, the human one, took everything in stride, proclaiming, “Best husband ever!!!”

Another case of mistaken dog identity

Rudy isn’t the only one to mistakenly pick up the wrong dog from the groomer. When Alex Maldonado’s dad went to pick up his 10-year-old toy Maltese from the groomer, he had no idea of the mess that was about to happen. When his dad returned home with the dog, named Nieves, he had the wrong pooch.

Righting the wrong

And while Alex’s dad did notice slight differences on the ride home, he paid them no mind. Like any loving pet owner, Alex knew right away that his dad had picked up the wrong dog. The imposter was slightly bigger, had different markings than Nieves, and rougher hair.

In his defense, Alex’s dad blamed his eyesight. In the end, he took not-Nieves back to the groomer where he made sure to text a picture to Alex of the real Nieves to make sure he had the right dog before returning home.

So, it would seem it is very easy to confuse one little, white dog from another, especially if you are doing someone else a favor by picking up their dog. Here is the hilarious video of Rudy realizing that he had the wrong dog.
