Any parent is excited to meet their children for the first time, even dogs.

After eight weeks of waiting, Gohan the Husky will be meeting his son for the very first time.

Whether Gohan understood that he had become a father, we will never know.

We’re still excited to know what his reaction will be when he meets his son.

It’s as adorable as we hoped.

Gohan’s dad drove off to pick up his son to surprise him.

His son’s name is Kai.

Inside the car, Kai is scared but curious. He’s scared because it’s a new environment.

‘What is this place? Why am I here? Where am I going? Who is this human?’ He was scared but he was more curious.

Kai was curious why this human was always sticking this black box in his face.

He was curious about the seat he was on (it feels different).

Pretty soon, he saw things he could chew. And because this human was petting him and scratching him, he was starting to feel at ease.

Gohan’s dad placed Kai in a box and brought the box inside the house.

He was curious.

He saw a small dog that looked like him but isn’t him. Who is this little one?

Gohan’s dad placed Kai on the ground and Gohan smelled him. This is what dogs do when there’s a new dog, they smell the other dog.

This helps them to know whether they should trust this other dog or not.

Kai hasn’t gone around to smell Kai just yet because he’s busy surveying the new house.

‘Is this my bed? Why is there a cover? Where do I go in?’

So many questions must be going through Kai’s mind and we can only speculate what they are.

But there’s one good thing about this interaction.

Kai isn’t slumped in one corner, shaking and refusing to look at them. Because if he did, that would mean he came from an abusive home.

But Kai was going around, smelling everything he sees and walking around with so much curiosity.

This means he just came from a home where he was free to roam around and explore.

Now came the big moment.

Kai finally stopped long enough for Gohan to “inspect” him and Kai let him.

We think Kai already knows he has a connection with this bigger dog who looks like him.

But he’s a puppy, a curious puppy and he wants to keep exploring.

Gohan let him while he followed.

Eventually, Gohan just let Kai be and he lay down on the floor to watch Kai explore.

Once Kai got a feel of the new place, he walked over to Gohan and smelled him.

Kai already trusts this “big guy”.

We don’t really know if he recognized that Gohan was his dad or not but Kai knew they will get along.

When that was established, he began to play with Gohan.

Gohan was excited to play with Kai and their dad needed to remind Gohan that Kai was a little guy.

Gohan knew he had to be careful.

Gohan let Kai lead the way they played and he just followed.
