Mom tells Husky to get out of the bathtub – dog has hilarious meltdown instead

Siberian huskies are known for their vocalization and giving their owners sass when they don’t get their way. A vocalizing husky in one video has gone viral on YouTube with over 23 million views.

Why do huskies vocalize?

Exactly why do huskies feel the need to vocalize as much as they do? In some cases, it almost sounds like they are trying to talk. And while dogs do not have the capacity for vocalization like humans, they do have some similar reasons for using their howls.

Communication

For the most part, huskies use their voice to communicate. This can be to communicate with other huskies or dogs, or humans, most especially their parents.

When talking to their owners, huskies use their vocalization to tell them when they want something, need to go out, or in Zeus’ case, when they are displeased.

Responding to other sounds

Huskies are also known for using their howls to respond to outside sounds. The most common incidents happen when a husky hears a favorite song on the TV or radio and feels the need to sing along.

Some other sounds that get a response out of a husky include sirens or a baby crying. Most of the time, a husky mistakes these as distress sounds from a packmate and respond accordingly.

But don’t let a husky’s vocalization fool you. This dog breed is one of the most loyal and loving you will find out there. If you have a husky, count yourself lucky if they love you enough to look at you as a part of their pack.
