Naturally, the tiny kitten who had just come to this household was scared. She was no longer with her mother and had no idea where she was now. Luckily, the family husky was there to make her feel welcome.

Some people mischaracterize huskies as being vicious dogs. Sure, they’re big dogs. But they also have big hearts. But one new video has proved this beyond a doubt.

One morning, a kitten lost all that she had known. Some people came over and took her away from her mom and her siblings. Of course, these new people were her adoptive parents. But at the time, the kitten had no way of realizing that.

So when the kitten arrived at the home, she was upset and timid. Then a gigantic dog approached her slowly. The kitten ran away in fright from the huge animal.

Eventually, the kitten became hungry. Luckily, she was able to find a bowl of food and a bowl of milk. She ate and drank rapidly, scared that the dog would find her.

On her way back to the hiding place, the kitten’s worst fears were confirmed. The dog came hulking closer, blocking the kitten off from her hiding place.

The kitten was frozen with fear as the dog came closer. Then the dog stopped right next to the kitten, lifted up a paw and gently brushed her hair. The kitten was still wary, so she started backing away slowly. But the dog just wanted to make the kitten feel comfortable. He extended a paw again and brushed the kitten gently.

The kitten, confused now, still ran away.

But she began to hope that she wasn’t in as much danger as she had thought.

The next day, the kitten emerged from her hiding place once more. The dog was waiting for her.

The kitten tried to walk to the food. But the dog approached her. Once more, the dog pet the kitten in a friendly way.

Still, the kitten backed off and ate her food.

Then, on the way back to the hiding place, the dog approached her again. This time, the kitten let the dog pet her. She could see now that the dog was not trying to hurt her.

Later, the kitten came up to the dog, hoping that he would still be friendly to her. The dog started licking her fur, just like her mother.

Soon, the kitten became used to the dog. She started to trust him. Over the coming days, she would spend time relaxing with the animal. Then she started playing back with him.

Over the coming weeks, the kitten and the husky formed a strong bond.

Sure, the kitten grew to love her human parents. But her connection with the husky was special. This dog had been patient with her and had let her know that she was welcome in the household from day one.

Luckily, a video of the kitten and the husky’s blossoming friendship then appeared on YouTube. It soon went viral.

In less than three weeks, it has gained over 500,000 views. It also has 8,700 likes and 300 comments. People have been saying things like this:

The husky and kitten have warmed the hearts of many people online.

They have no way of knowing that they’ve made so many people happy. But at least they know they’re making each other happy.
