Loud-mouth Husky pup “punishes” himself after losing “heated debate” with dad

Being loud and feisty comes with being young. All that energy’s got to get out somehow, and it’ll usually be in the form of making lots of noise. Oh, and running around.

Anyone who’s looked after a toddler or a puppy is no stranger to boundless energy.

But what about a dog breed that has “boundless energy” in its blood? Well, one of the first that comes to mind is the Siberian Husky.

Huskies are a handful.

The breed is as playful as it is fluffy, and their origin as sled dogs is hard not to see.

Siberian Huskies have a natural affinity for running all over the place, snow or no snow.

They howl more than bark.

They’ll start doing that the moment they’re old enough to walk and bark. This makes a Siberian Husky puppy quite the commitment.

But what happens when you try to settle things with a bit of verbal communication? Well, let’s see how this guy does it.

This “guy” isn’t just a “guy”.

He’s Aaron Dissell, a professional musical artist. Aaron’s got an impressive resume. He’s a songwriter, DJ, and producer.

Aaron also happens to be the adoptive dad to a Siberian Husky, with whom he shared an adorable moment with in this video.

A little pre-bedtime debate?

In the video, Aaron and his puppy have a little argument in bed.

There’s no build-up or anticipation.

The video starts right in the middle of the action. The puppy yaps and barks at Aaron, and Aaron jokingly responds

“What? You better stop talking back!”.

Whether the puppy knows Aaron is just teasing, or if he thinks Aaron is actually mad at him, is hard to say. Right now, it seems like the puppy cares more about getting his point across.

Seems like the pup isn’t arguing in good faith at all. He just wants to have the last word. How typical. I’m sure we’ve met tons of people who do the same thing.

“That’s it!” Aaron says in a confronting tone.

Then the puppy yaps again before Aaron says, “What?!”

He wants this pup to know that he’s not having any of it.

“You always gotta have the freaking last word! Shut up!”

Huskies are pretty vocal dogs, but that doesn’t mean Aaron should just let them say whatever they want, right?

Still, the puppy persists and continues heckling for its point. Whatever its point is.

Aaron has another message to give to him. All in good fun, of course.

“What do you mean? Stop it. You’re still a baby. You don’t talk back to an adult.”

This seems to have gotten the point across to the puppy, who promptly began gnawing on its foot.

“Yeah, foot in mouth”, Aaron says victoriously.

With its foot in its mouth, it can’t say anything more. Looks like Aaron got the last word on this one.

Was that the pup’s way of punishing itself?

We’d like to think so, just because it makes it that much funnier.
