Husky puppy has hilariously adorable argument with mom about taking a bath
For a puppy, there’s nothing more fun than to play. They are livelier and more active, that’s why they have the energy to play almost all day. Of course, with great time to play, comes a great amount of dirt.
They even end up smelling bad and what’s the best thing to do when this happens? Yep – a bath!
But let’s face it, not all dogs like the idea of bathing. Just like this husky puppy who argued with mom when she tried to clean him up.
Why do some dogs hate baths?
Most dog owners find it hard to convince their dogs to regularly take a bath or to at least allow their owners to clean them up. Dogs fearing baths (or particularly, water) might have something to do with their past experiences. According to The Dodo:
“For some dogs, getting a bath reminds them of a traumatic past experience, Levine notes, which provokes feelings of fear or anxiety every time they approach the shower. These past experiences may have caused your pet pain — such as the water being too hot — but that’s not always the case. Even the most conscientious pet owner may not realize that something as simple as not being able to find his balance in the tub can leave a lasting impression on your dog.”
These cases are pretty normal and should never be considered a “problem”.
As dog owners, we should take full responsibility for our pet’s behaviors.
The question is how are we going to address this “bathing” issue with our dogs? Forcing them to do things that they obviously do not want to do will only make things worse. They may become more aggressive whenever they come across something that they particularly hate.
We should be observant and it’s our sole job to understand why they behave differently towards something. If they show extreme fear, depression, or anxiety about something or an event, then we should refrain from letting it happen.
If your dog hates to take a bath, then we suggest that you do the following…
Reinvent and create a way that will most likely invite them to give in. Perhaps, you could pick your dog’s favorite toy and put it inside their tub. Make your pet feel that they’re with something/someone that they like while doing something that they hate.
You could also bring your dog’s favorite food or treat inside the bathroom, so their mindset about “hating the bath” will be diverted. This way, you can take advantage of the moment to clean them up while they are indulging themselves with food.
Still, these are just “trial and error methods” and it will still depend on how will they react to each step that you’re going to make.
On a lighter note, just how cute is this Husky puppy?!
Siberian Huskies are considered as one of the most athletic and intelligent dog breeds. But being this cute while arguing is completely off the charts!
Two Husky puppies were seated comfortably on their owner’s lap when their other owner came to them telling them it’s time to take a bath.
One of the pups argued with the idea – but his protest turned out to be soo cute.
On the other hand, the other pup was just quietly resting on their mom’s lap.
“You smell better and you look better if you take a bath,” their owner said.
And the cute argument went on.
The protesting puppy responded with some cute barks and silent whimpers. He didn’t really want to go take a bath. He made it clear to his owner that he’s not going.
The cute argument between mom and the little pooch was uploaded on YouTube. As of this writing, it already has more than 2.5 million views. Some viewers even shared their experiences with their dogs. Here’s an example.
“My baby always knew what ‘bath’ meant. She would go hid under the kitchen table and I would have to pull the chairs out, to get her. Miss you Shug.”
While this viewer wrote a funny comment:
“That Husky made some very valid arguments there, I m gonna side with him this time.”
