Tip Toe Through The Tulips!

It’s important we take time to stop and smell the flowers. Enjoy life’s little blessings and of course, bask in the blooms of Spring! It’s so exciting to watch the bottled bulbs explode from every tree to every shrub. We can’t help being enchanted by the magic of Springtime and what better way than to enjoy an epic tulip festival!

All of over the world people gather in fields of tulips to ring in Spring.

Unfortunately, quarantine is putting a hold on all of the Spring festivities but we can still cherish them from afar! There’s been a special tulip capturing the hearts of all flower lovers. A tulip deemed the name “ice cream” tulip is almost too perfect to be real. You’ll definitely be wondering if it’s photoshopped or something.

But this ice cream tulip is as real as it gets and we just can’t stop looking!

These glorious tulips look as if someone just scooped vanilla ice cream right on top. An average tulip usually only has about 6 petals but this ice cream tulip has definitely at least doubled the petal amount. It’s like a tulip ate a peony and now they live in holy matrimony. If you put your nose to the screen you can almost smell the fresh tulip air!

We certainly wish we could smell it in real life but this will have to do.

This ice cream tulips were first bred in 1999 by the company Vertuco BV. It’s wild how diverse the tulip species are, as they come in almost every color some even look as if they’ve been tie-dyed or hand-painted. Now they have these gorgeous tulips that look so pretty you could almost eat them!

Can you imagine skipping through a field of cream? Let alone ice cream flowers?

Now that dream can become a reality. Now you know that first thing to put on your things-to-do list after quarantine. Run straight into the arms of your petaled friends because lifes too short not to see these beauties in real life. Ice cream tulips can be found all over the world including Canada, The United States, Netherlands, New Zealand, India, England, Australia, and many other places.

You can also buy the seeds so you can grow them in your very own backyard.

The ice cream tulip sure knows how to give us a sweet tooth.
