We all remember our sub-par marching band, don’t we? The funny outfits and performances during school football games are too much a reminder of pimply faces and awkward kisses for too many of us.

Drumline performances are the upgraded versions of what we remember as teenagers in high school.

A drumline performance is an intense and percussive experience that will leave you breathless and wondering what the heck you just listened to. In a marching band, the drums only comprise one part of the orchestration. Drumlines, as the name implies, are solely made up of drums. As a result, the entire performance is incredibly passionate and exhilarating.

One group of teenagers recently showed off their skills in a rehearsal.

For a drumline to sound good, each person in the line needs to be perfectly on time and understand the fundamentals of drumming.

Another piece of drumlines that makes them so cool is the visuals.

Drumming is primarily an auditory experience, but drumlines take it to a whole new level. They aren’t there to just show off their drumming skills for listeners; they also spend hours practicing complex visual tricks and moves that wow your eyes as much as your ears.

Understanding all that, the video released by the Bluecoats School of the Arts shared a video that people are loving.

These students decided to show off their rehearsal performance, and the resulting video was absolutely insane. From the individual to collective, the whole team did an incredible job.

Even though it was just a “rehearsal,” it could pass for a live performance!

The idiom “practice how you play” seems to be taken seriously at Bluecoats! With stern, theatric faces and swinging drumsticks, the drummers give a sharp performance that’s an absolute joy to watch.

It’s a perfect combination of theatrics and skill.

Even though it’s a rehearsal, the team doesn’t crack a laugh or smile. The formation was serious and precise as they went through each movement of the routine, not letting a single detail slip! If the word “professional” is applied to anyone, these guys are at the top of the list.
