Italian “miracle” cat is found alive after being buried in rubble for 32 days
Do you believe in the myth that says that a cat has nine lives? Well, here is the answer.
Cats have one life just like any other living creature. However, the cat is probably the most independent pet out there. They can withstand falls and serious accidents without being fatally wounded, which perhaps, is where the saying that a cat has nine lives actually comes from.
Just like this cat rescued after being buried in rubble for 32 days!
A cat shockingly survived after 32 days under rubble.
A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck Central Italy, killing many people and causing damages.
Overall, 200 animals had been rescued – but amazingly, one miracle cat survived under the rubble for 32 days.
They were surprised by their discovery
As the firefighters of Vigili del Fuoco returned to the village to clean up the rubble caused by the earthquake, they found something incredible: a cat buried among the stones of a collapsed house in Rio San Lorenzo.
No one expected to find a cat alive beneath the rubble
As they continue to filter beneath the debris, they were surprised to hear a faint meow and found a gray and white long-haired cat caught among the stones of a collapsed house. Even though he was dehydrated, his health was still in good condition.
The miracle cat’s name is Rocco.
It’s been a month since the earthquake happened. It was unbelievable how he survived without any source of food and water. But it’s clear that this intelligent kitty is exceptionally clever! He was rescued after a month and is pretty much a miracle cat.
They soon told Rocco’s family – and luckily, they were on the scene overseeing what was left on their house. They had no idea that their cat was still alive after 32 days.
Rocco’s family felt overwhelmed and happy when they saw him alive.
Luckily, there was a vet nearby named Cristiana Graziani who checked-up and gave Rocco the treatment that he needed – and considering the circumstances, he is doing well. As a result, Rocco feels so much better.
Rocco is a fighter, indeed.
After the disaster that happened, Rocco’s recovery made his family very happy. They thought that there was nothing left after the earthquake – but Rocco saved them from being totally hopeless.
“An incredible story, but true.” Graziani commented.
It is hard to lose a lovely home. But Rocco survived 32 days in rubble and gave his family hope to be strong in this difficult situation.
Good things can come out out of the toughest situations. Rocco reminds us to never give up.
