Real estate agent transforms junk closet into fancy home for his dog

When you love your pooch a whole lot, you go the extra mile for them. To some people, that can mean the finest dog foods, the most expensive dog toys, or the best pet shampoo. To others, it can mean giving them the canine equivalent of a sweet crib.

Jonathan is a real estate agent who made a fancy home for his dog.

It started out as a fun little project and turned into a spectacular art endeavor. Jonathan’s experience in housing probably lent itself well to this.

But how did it all start? Well, Jonathan didn’t build it from scratch.

It began with an old junk closet that Jonathan wasn’t using any longer. I suppose it’s a good thing that your junk closet is empty. It means you’re junk-free, after all.

Though now you’ve got a whole lot of empty space in your home doing nothing. Seems like a waste of your home’s square footing, no?

Well, Jonathan turned the old closet into a living space for his Golden Retriever.

And “living space” is a bit of an understatement.

Teddy’s mini-home is a luxury house as far as dog houses are concerned. It’s got a fireplace, a comfy bed, and a painting of the resident himself.

Of course, Teddy’s also got his own TV. Everything a dog could need, really.

With a warm bed, a roaring fireplace, his own TV, and a fancy carpet, Teddy is as comfy as a dog can be. The loving Golden retriever isn’t just a tenant here. He’s Jonathan’s best friend.

A home this nice doesn’t come overnight.

While a dog’s living quarters might be smaller than a human’s, Jonathan still had to work up a sweat for this. He worked on it every evening for a few weeks.

The interior is what took the longest. After all, that’s where all the “living” happens. The inside of Teddy’s home is quite a bit nicer than most people’s homes. He’s got his own fireplace and mantle too.

The little home has two doors. A doggy-sized one for Teddy and a full-sized one for Jonathan.

And why would Jonathan do such a thing for a dog? Well, he just loves Teddy that much.

Jonathan has seen many painful days. He’s been through very dark moments in his life. He’s lost his sister, his aunt, his grandpa, and one of his good friends.

Most people would feel like giving up then, but Jonathan had Teddy to keep him going.

The loving Golden retriever can sense when Jonathan is depressed or overwhelmed.

He makes it a point to snuggle and stick close to Jonathan in times like those.

After all the times Teddy has been there for Jonathan, building this fancy home is the least Jonathan could do.

When a dog means the world to you, wouldn’t you give them the world if you could?

And the best part of it all is that Teddy doesn’t have to pay rent. At least, not yet.

Jonathan would never, though. Right?
