In August of 2019 Justin Bieber was making headlines for something other than music and relationship drama – his new pets. He adopted two baby Savannah cats and named them Sushi and Tuna. Too cute!

What do those foods have to do with Savannah cats? Nothing. But somehow it just works.

Justin and his wife, Hailey Baldwin Bieber came up with some… interesting nicknames. As if Sushi and Tuna aren’t cute enough on their own.

There was some controversy with PETA, who believed he should have adopted the two fur balls instead of paying for them. Which, is probably true. I mean, who doesn’t love a good adoption story?! But if a Savannah cat is going to live its best life anywhere away from the wild, it’s gotta be with a rich celebrity.

He defended his choice to buy them (at a whopping $35,000 I might add) and has been showing them off to the world ever since.

Justin and his wife, Hailey Baldwin Bieber, created their own Instagram account for Sushi and Tuna and have been sharing totally adorable photos of the pair.

And when Sushi went missing for a few weeks, she was found again by Sandra Lee, a famous Instagram lifestyle influencer.

Even getting lost isn’t so bad when you’re in a rich neighborhood!

Well these two little kittens aren’t so small anymore. It’s been almost a full year and they’re almost fully grown.

Savannah cats are some of the smallest species of wild cats, but they vary a lot in size. An average cat can weigh anywhere between 14 and 25 pounds, stand 14 to 16 inches tall, and are about 16 to 18 inches long.

For reference, a regular house cat only weighs about 10 pounds, stand 10 inches tall, but funnily enough, have about the same 16-18 inch length as their wild Savannah brothers and sisters.

Imagine having a cat that big in your apartment!

But they’ve got it pretty good. They even have their own special cat tree to make them feel more at home in the “wild”.

Not that the Biebers have to worry, but Savannah cats have a very expensive diet. They eat high end wet and dry cat food, as well as raw red meat and chicken.

And they eat a lot of it!

However, the cats themselves were so wildly expensive, that I can’t imagine their diets can be too daunting by comparison.

The two also live in the same home with the Bieber’s recently adopted dog Oscar, a Yorkie.

The three unlikely animal friends all seem to get along really well and love to cuddle.

Is Justin Bieber the new Tiger King? I hope not. But he certainly seems to be very in love with his exotic furry friends.
