Love struck K-9 seizes every opportunity to kiss partner in photoshoot
There is no bond quite like the one between a dog and his owner.
We’re certain that dogs feel love more than any other animal, so when they are brought up with the love of their owner, then they will literally do anything for them.
When we think of the special bond between dogs and their owners, we don’t often think about service dogs and their partners. But as a matter of fact, service dogs have to have a very close bond with their handlers or they wouldn’t be able to do the important job that they do.
An example of the closeness between a service dog and his partner is clear to see in this next adorable story.
When Indiana’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR) law enforcement agency conducted a routine photoshoot of the officers and their pooches, they weren’t expecting to get such adorable results.
One loving pup just couldn’t stop kissing his owner!
Hilariously, the cameraman decided to carry on shooting the photos, and the results are truly adorable.
For Kenobi the K-9 and his human partner, Conservation Officer Levi Knach, their photoshoot started off with a degree of professionalism. Both man and Good Boy sat together with their faces composed and their posture straight.
They both knew just how important it was, as the faces of the law enforcement agency, to look the part.
But Kenobi seemed to be fighting a battle in his head.
He knew that he needed to be a Good Boy – but he was sitting so close to Levi, and the urge to give him some love and kisses was getting too much.
In the end, the urge got to be too much.
Kenobi broke his professional pose to give his handler a big kiss on the cheek. We love that the photographer carried on snapping away- and we much prefer these pictures to the professional ones!
We can see that Levi is trying to hold his serious face, but in the end, he can’t help breaking out into a smile as Kenobi continues to give him kisses.
Kenobi just loves Levi too much to pose for straight-faced photos, and Indiana’s Law Enforcement District says that the pair’s difficult job is what brings them together. They told The Dodo:
“[Officer Knach] and Kenobi constantly train for the unfortunate situations of locating missing persons, locating evidence from criminal activity, and detecting illegally taken wildlife. He is a true example of a leader and servant.”
We can imagine that being in the difficult situations the pair must face together during a working day can really help to strengthen their bond!
We think service dogs are some of the bravest and smartest in the world, and regardless of whether Kenobi can keep a straight face in his photos, we still believe that he’s the Goodest of Boys.
Thanks to Indiana’s Department of Natural Resources for sharing these adorable snaps!
We hope they made your day as much as they did ours.
