Do you believe that dogs are more than just man’s best friend?

Dogs are the most versatile domesticated animals serving as supporters, defenders, rescuers, and companions.

Some dogs are domesticated, while others are doing service for the community.

We’ve heard of dogs being part of the K9 units.

A police dog is a canine that has been specially trained to assist police and other law-enforcement officers. Searching for drugs and explosives, identifying missing persons, ‘tracing crime scene evidence, and attacking people targeted by the police are only some of their responsibilities.

Meet Chico — a K9 officer with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.

He took advantage of the opportunity to photograph with his coworkers in more formal clothes. Chico was not only included in the process, but he also demonstrated how to do it.

Chico normally wears only a K9 vest while on the job.

When the time arises, though, he cleans up nicely. It was apparently picture-taking time at Chico’s office the other day.

Chico went all out for his official photo.

It’s a perfect suit for him.

One of the officers of OCSO’s mentioned that:

“He even wore a tie for the photo.”

He got it exactly right!

A Sheriff’s office representative told The Dodo:

“Chico is a German shepherd. He’s five and a half. He’s been with the OCSO for about four and a half years. He is a patrol dog and also a drug K9.”

Chico lives with his handler and his family.

In one of the videos posted in the official Facebook account of OCSO, they featured Chico’s trainer. The law enforcement agency shared that last May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. And they are proud to celebrate diversity in their agency and the community.

He said that his dream career is to be a K-9 handler. It’s simple to understand why.

Chico is the absolute best!

He is simply amazing! In one of the OCSC post from December 2020:

‪”K-9 Chico is getting into the holiday spirit, how about you?‬”

The Sheriff’s office representative added that:

“He loves tug-o-war and Kongs.”

For as readily as he’s able to pull off a formal look, Chico’s pretty capable at casual, too.

Chico didn’t only know how to pose for his new ID badge. The Sheriff’s Office shared an adorable picture of Chico wearing a Santa hat, next to the office Christmas tree, in celebration of the festive season.

Chico is also always prepared for “pawlidays!”
