We don’t know anything about him, but one tiny cowboy is soaking up views on YouTube with his epic performance of George Strait’s 1993 hit song “Heartland” to an imaginary crowd in his backyard.

Decked out in cowboy boots and a hat, blue jeans, and a little flannel shirt, his warm-up was just long enough for one of his parents to grab the camera and memorialize the adorable moment.

As he appears to take an opening bow, he picks up his tiny, blue guitar and readies for the “show.” It’s the stuff childhood is made of – imagining yourself being the greatest singer in front of a million people.

Alas, this tyke is still singing to the birds at this point in his career (well, plus the 175,000+ people who have seen him on YouTube).

By the time he starts rocking, it’s clear that this boy has watched some of the greatest country performances of the past. He’s working on his stage presence, knows how to hold his instrument, makes eye contact with the “crowd,” and can jam along with the tune.

Like anyone under 5, his vocals need some work, but that’s really not the point of the sweet performance.

In his foot-stomping fun, you can even hear a southern accent – and he’s got his lyrics down as well.

As the seconds pass, he gets more and more confident and finally belts out the second verse and chorus with all his might. We’re honestly surprised the camera isn’t shaking more from parental laughter (not AT him, of course, but because it’s so darn charming).

He even tips his cowboy hat – one with a big ol’ feather in it – to the audience!

He might not have a stage yet, but no one can deny he has stage presence!

Plenty of Facebook commenters (the video has been shared far and wide on multiple social media platforms) agree that he’s already got the “it” factor.

“OMG! This is the cutest and most innocent thing I have seen children do so far. This is old school playing at it’s best! I love this video,” said one woman.

In fact, many commenters found themselves returning to watch the video when they were in a low mood. It’s certainly the case that this little one will cheer you up.

One can only imagine what he might think of it when he’s all grown up – this is definitely the video you break out at a 16th birthday party. Then again, maybe it will just be the first of many performances in an illustrious country music career.

Judging by his age at the time the video was posted in 2017, he’s got a ways to go before he can tour on his own, though plenty of people who have seen the video are already looking forward to what they think is his inevitable audition on a show like “America’s Got Talent.”

But there’s something about his genuine innocence that makes us hope he doesn’t end up on reality TV.

At the end of his song, he belts out a long note and then pretends to strum his guitar, hard, for good measure.

Then, he thanks his audience, throws a hand in the air to signal the end of the performance, and no doubt imagines thousands of cheering fans.

Little does he know he actually has some!
