Stray dog melts in man's arms after realizing he's being rescued from sweltering heat

Anand Raman decided to drive up to his sister’s workplace just to visit her. It was a hot day in Dubai so people were in the shade avoiding the heat. He then saw a stray dog under a parked car.

The dirty canine’s fur was matted and his legs didn’t look right. It was was eating scraps when he saw it but Anand knew he had to help.

As Anand was observing the dog, it seemed to know that he meant no harm so the dog came over to him.

“He approached me with a curious but excited disposition, wagging his tail excitedly,” Anand recalled. “This demeanor of his is what initially made me fall in love with him.”

Anand hung out with the strange dog, sitting on the sidewalk and petting him for awhile before he carried the dog to his car. The poor dog quickly fell asleep on his shoulder.

Anand drove the exhausted dog to the vet with some help from his sister and brother-in-law.

The dog slept the entire time.

The vet told Anand that the dog had a wobbly gait due to rickets caused by malnutrition. It can be treated and the pup will not suffer any long term effects.

Anand gave the dog a bath as soon as they got home. That bath removed all the grime, revealing the dog’s beautiful white fur. That had Anand coming up with the name, “Snowy.”

Spending his entire life on the streets, the dog didn’t know how to behave inside Anand’s home so he needed time to adapt.

“Getting him adapted to a house at first wasn’t easy,” Anand said. “He wasn’t sure where to go and what to explore, so he’d just sit in a corner.”

Snowy didn’t seem to like walks at first. Almost like he felt as if Anand would leave him on the streets. The dog would yank on his leash trying to run back into their building.

It took awhile for trust to be established but soon, Anand was able to take Snowy out.

Snowy was sick and exhausted the day he was rescued. Nowadays, he’s a happy and healthy dog who has a loving family by his side. And all it took was two months after getting adopted.

“He sleeps and waits for us to get home from work, which is when he showers us with love and we reciprocate the same with him,” Anand said. “He also gels amazingly well with any dog he comes across and is very well-behaved with kids and guests.”

All it took was a lot of love. Snowy loves hugging Anand too!

Anand’s efforts coupled with all the love and affection, transformed Snowy’s appearance, behavior, and mindset. Almost like he became a totally different dog!

Snowy went to being a sick and scared pup to a healthy and loving. He went from the streets to a loving home where he gets all the cuddles and treats his heart desires.
