Kitten brought up by pack of huskies thinks she is one
“Close like cats and dogs.”
The phrase in itself sounds strange because if we find the word cat and dog together in one sentence, we also have to see “fight” and “mess” somewhere in between.

But the rivalry between these popular household companions is nothing more than a nursery rhyme topic.
In fact, both animals can get along so well that one can act like the other.
Lilo never knew what it was like to be a mother.
The husky from San Jose never had a litter of puppies but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to be a mother.

Those instincts were put to the test when sisters Thi, Thoa, and Tram Bui fostered a 2-week-old kitten.
The sisters have fostered a lot of cats throughout the years so taking in Rosie wasn’t difficult. Rosie can’t say the same, however, because she was on the brink of death.
Rosie was immensely malnourished when she was rescued.
To make matters worse, the kitten was in dire need of her mother’s milk. It wasn’t something that the sisters could give the weakening kitten,

They struggled in keeping her fed but as hours passed, Rosie became much more lethargic and limp. The sisters believed at that moment that Rosie won’t make it.
Then Lilo came along.
The husky kept the little kitten warm. And even if folktales suggest that the two will end up wrestling each other, Rosie was so comfortable sleeping beside Lilo.
Then, Rosie began suckling on Lilo, thinking that she was her mother. She started crying out for food so the sisters gave her the bottle once more.
This time, the kitten finished every last drop.
Rosie slowly learned how to be a kitten.
While at the same time, Lilo learned how to become a mother.
The husky continued to care for little Rosie. She lets her sleep beside her so she could nurse easily. Lilo also helps Rosie go to the bathroom when needed.
Soon enough, Rosie turned the corner. She started eating and moving better. The sisters noticed one big difference, however.
Rosie, the little kitten, thinks that she’s actually a dog.
When she got her strength back, Rosie began walking with the pack. She’d put on her leash too just like her mom and her siblings.

While cats are usually content with sitting and watching or going their own way, Rosie joins in hikes and swimming.
She even learned to “kitty paddle”.
For the sisters, more than the “adorable-ness,” Lilo and Rosie are teaching people so much more.
“With these videos, I think we are sending a very strong message that we need to be advocates for our animals and care for them just like we care for each other,” said one of the sisters to ABC 10.

On their website, they also shared the message of Lilo and Rosie’s relationship.
