There is no doubt that everyone around in the world is in need of something a little bit more lighthearted these days. With everyone self-isolating and on lockdown, it is easy to feel a little bit down every now and then… So that is why we are whipping out this hilarious clip that is bound to lift your spirits.

We are pretty sure that everyone agrees that the hit song, “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars, is hands down the most uplifting song there is. And it seems like this little kitten agrees.

This little cat is also known as Winnie The Kitten and she is just about the cutest thing you will see today.

Who says only humans can like music? It is obvious that music is universally accepted by everyone, including animals like cats and dogs. They love it!

Going back to “Uptown Funk” — it was clear that Winnie loved the song because when it came on, she could not stop moving and grooving.

The video of her grooving to the hit song appeared on YouTube back in May 2015 but it still resonates with us today. It is so dang cute, it managed to accumulate over 6 million views. In addition to that, it has garnered thousands of likes and comments. Rightfully so!

“Am I the only one who noticed the kitten has ‘thumbs?'” One user on YouTube hilariously wrote. “Every time I hear this song now I think of this kitten. It should be the official video,” another person wrote (and we don’t disagree).

“This video was just too cute! It always makes me smile!” Another fan wrote.

Even though the video is about five years old, it doesn’t really seem to matter. People keep coming back to it. Whether they saw it when it first came out or they just stumbled upon it today, it is timeless. The world will never get sick of seeing an adorable little kitten dance her thumbs off!

It also works as the perfect reminder that everything will be fine. It strangely gives us a sense of hope and normalcy… After all, like the saying goes: Laughter is the best kind of medicine!

“Well, you won the Internet,” one user wrote. “This is the most adorable thing ever,” another person commented in agreement.

Is it magic?

If you pay close attention to the video, you might notice that the cat isn’t actually dancing. Instead, her owner is waving something above her head that we can’t see — likely a toy — which she is then following back and forth with her head. Because she does this to the beat of the song, it gives the illusion that she is bobbing her head to the rhythm.

It seems like they fooled a lot of people on the Internet with this trick, which we have to say is pretty hilarious.

Even if she is not really dancing, it is clear that she was still having a fun time playing with the toy. And like we said earlier, we can always use a laugh (especially now). We can’t wait to come back to this video in 2025 and still laugh our butts off.
