Adventurous kitten raised by huskies – now she thinks she’s one of them
Sometimes, friendships develop between unlikely parties. On the surface, two friends might seem like complete opposites when in reality, they go together like sugar and spice.
Our story begins with a husky named Lilo.
She’s a gorgeous dog from the San Jose area in California. Lilo, her owners, and their many furry family members love to go on adventures.
Lilo’s circle of dog-pals has one unusual member. They look a little different than the rest of the pack does, though she’s treated just like any other member of the community. See if you can guess which one we are talking about in the picture below.

Rosie The Cat Keeps Up With Her Canine Siblings
You might think that a cat wouldn’t fit in too well with a group of huskies. Rosie is just like any other member of the pack, however. They go on all sorts of adventures together. Road trips, outdoor activities, and even kayak trips! Boredom is never a problem with this group of animals.

Rosie was just a kitten when she was rescued…
When Rosie was just a young kitten, there was concern that she wouldn’t survive. She was rescued by Thi, Thoa, and Tram Bui, 3 sisters who run Mini Cat Town in San Jose. The center has rescued over 340 cats since it opened its doors in 2015.
The sisters took Rosie in when she was just 2-weeks old. Rosie wasn’t eating and grew weaker as a result. That’s when the sisters decided to try something different.

Nobody could have predicted the amazing results that Lilo would have on young Rosie’s health.
The following was shared by one of the pet mom’s on social media:
“By some miracle, she started suckling on Lilo and Lilo went full “mom mode”. Even stimulating it to go to the bathroom..😦 (This was very shocking to me). Since then, Rosie’s been getting much better and her eyes opened!”
Lilo didn’t take long to develop a connection with Rosie and Rosie was quick to give Lilo affection as well. By night 2 of their time together, the following adorable footage was captured:

Rosie adjusts to her new life with a pack of huskies.
Eventually, everyone decided it was time for Rosie’s first adventure. She would be going on a leashed-trip to the park. These types of activities can be difficult for some cats but Rosie would have Lilo next to her the whole time.
Rosie started to come along on more adventures with the huskies. She would run and play and have adventures with her big dog siblings.
Rosie never slows down her dog pals either. It’s like she really is a husky!
The family’s social media pages are titled “Lilo the Husky” and feature photos and videos of the group going on adventures.
Not surprisingly, social media is in love with Lilo, Rosie, and the family. They have close to 500K followers on Instagram.
While Lilo and Rosie’s relationship has been mutually beneficial, it is not always advisable to mix huskies and cats. The Dodo posted the following warning on social media:
“Huskies are notorious for their intense prey drive!! So please please don’t run out and get a kitten (or a husky) expecting them to be best friends.”
In this case, however, the bond between Rosie and Lilo couldn’t be stronger. Lilo adopted Rosie as her own, and Rosie has accepted the huskies as her family. It’s really a beautiful story. The family’s website reads the following:
“If everyone loved the way Lilo & Rosie did, there would be no evil in this world.”
