Lady finds abandoned, cracked egg and keeps it in her bra for over a month until it hatches

Many women keep items in their bras, like money or lipstick. This woman thought that her bra might be the last chance for an unborn duckling.

Bras are for so much more than just breasts. They’re a super convenient way to carry important stuff. But one woman went above and beyond when it came to using her bra.

It all started when Betsy Ross, her husband and her children all visited a local park in Visalia, California.

They were going to spend the day playing ball games. But then they found something saddening.

Someone had attacked a duck nest. Being animal lovers, the Rosses were upset to see the destruction. They inspected the nests, to see if there were any ducklings that needed help.

That was when they discovered a cracked egg among the debris. None of the protein was leaking from the egg.

Betsy thought that the unborn duckling might just have a chance at survival. So she picked it up gently and nestled it within her cleavage.

Then she carefully returned home, determined to keep the egg intact.

At first, Betsy tried to bring the egg to a wildlife sanctuary. But every place she contacted said that they couldn’t take it in.

Eventually, she found one sanctuary that agreed to take the duck in, if it hatched. So Betsy realized that she had to take the place of the duck’s mother and incubate it until it came into the world.

Betsy knew that the odds of the duckling making it were slim. But she wanted to at least give the animal a chance.

So she kept the egg in her bra, hoping that this would give the animal enough warmth.

She read up on other ways to help the duckling on its difficult journey into life. Betsy discovered that she had to rotate the egg four to five times a day to give it the best odds.

The days went by, and by shining a torchlight into the egg, Betsy could see that the duckling was growing.

Amazingly, her breasts were giving the animal the heat it needed to survive.

Betsy even slept in her bra, lying in a position that wouldn’t crush the egg. And when she had to shower, she would hand the egg to her husband or one of her kids, instructing them to keep it warm in their hands.

Still, the duckling was growing. So Betsy researched how to make a hatching box. In no time, she had made a suitable environment from a few items.

Amazingly, after nestling the animal in her bra for 35 days, Betsy started to hear peeping. She knew that the duckling was beginning to hatch. So she took the egg out of her bra and put it in the box.

But after a day, the duckling still hadn’t left the egg.

So Betsy called up a vet, who told her that the duckling was trapped in its membrane. If the duck was going to make it, Betsy would have to help him.

So Betsy carefully peeled away the shell, first giving the duckling the ability to breathe easily. Then, after more peeling, the duckling started to emerge on his own.

Halfway through the hatching, the duck found himself trapped once more. Betsy then helped the duckling more and gave it water.

Still, the duckling was hatching very slowly. Over the next few days, Betsy kept on giving the duckling water, hoping that the animal would pull through.

Then one morning, she woke up to find the duckling walking around. He had completely emerged from the egg. He was tiny, being premature, but he was definitely gaining strength.

Betsy and her family kept the duck fed and hydrated until he grew stronger. Soon, he was going on little adventures in their yard, swimming in puddles and hunting for bugs.

Eventually, the animal was big enough to go to the sanctuary. Betsy and the rest of the Rosses had become incredibly attached to the duck. But they realized that it was for the best.

Now, the duck is happy and living a great life. And just think, he owes it all to Betsy and her breasts!
