Lady whacks horse with beach shovel not expecting swift karma in return

Ah, karma. While the general concept of “you get what you give” and “what goes around comes around” is translated differently across cultures, the result is the same: (delightfully) satisfying.

It’s not necessarily wishing ill on others (because that’s a different story and sends more hate out into the world); it’s the quiet anticipation of a lesson that needs to be learned.

Carelessly blowing through life with complete disregard for other people’s feelings and being intentionally disrespectful will cause even the kindest soul to step back and vow that one day, you’ll have it coming.

This woman, for instance, was asking for it.

She was on vacation on Assateague Island, a place on the coast of Virginia.

It’s more than just a beautiful beach – it is also home to stunning wild horses roaming freely.

What could have made her think it would be a good idea to smack one of these fantastic creatures?

Ignorance, a sick sense of humor, who knows? A bystander managed to capture it all on video.

Another bystander even told her not to go through with it, but naturally, the woman ignored the warning.

She stood up from her spot on the sand, holding a shovel, and approached the horse.

To the shock of many, she casually lifted the shovel and smacked the horse.

It was cruel and stupid – absolutely inexcusable. Fortunately, karma works fast, and animal instincts are always spot-on.

The horse lifted its hind legs and gave a strong kick, sending the woman backward.

Shocked at what just happened, the woman sat for a bit before she got back on her feet and tried to approach the horse again.

She didn’t get away with anything else after that because two other horses showed up, and the woman would definitely be facing stronger opponents if she made another wrong move.

Visiting Assateague Island means following rules like no touching, feeding, or trying to attract the horses.

But even without those rules printed out for vacationers to see, it’s common knowledge that attempting to hurt innocent animals is cruel.

We honestly can’t fathom how this woman thinks. Was she trying to shoo the horse away even though it wasn’t bothering her?

The video immediately went viral.

It caught the attention of The National Park Service and the Assateague Island National Seashore Law Enforcement Rangers.

“Visitors are kicked, bitten, and knocked down every year as a direct result of getting too close to the wild horses. Protect your family by respecting theirs. Give the horses the space they need to be wild.”

It also triggered reactions from viewers worldwide, all echoing the same disgust for the woman’s behavior.

See, if you can’t be kind, you should learn to be quiet and leave others alone.

The Golden Rule is pretty simple and straightforward, karma doesn’t play games, and pretty soon, what you put out there will find its way back to you.
