Renting out your property is a risk. If you’re lucky, you may end up with people who’ll take care of your home as if it was theirs. If you’re not lucky enough, there’s a good chance you’ll experience the same thing that happened to a homeowner from a small French town.

Just like most property owners, Thomas Rayaux made sure that his place was in perfect condition before his new tenants moved in.

At first, there was no issue. Everything seemed to go well between Thomas and the tenants.

Then, they stopped paying.

Thomas didn’t receive any payment for the past 14 months. Wondering what happened to them, he paid his tenants a visit.

When he opened the doors of his house, he was shocked.

The place was incredibly filthy and messy. Everything was disorganized. He couldn’t even barely go into the rooms and pass through the hallway because there was trash all over the place.

It was disgusting.

The property Thomas cared for looked completely different. It didn’t even look like a home.

The tenants left behind old food and furniture. There were magazines, toys, and a lot of dog poo. The place smelled really bad.

Realizing that he had to do something about it, Thomas reached out to his lawyer.

He came up with a plan and he wanted to make sure that he wouldn’t get in trouble for it. He even talked to the local police just to double-check. They assured him that there was nothing wrong with his plan.

Thomas’ started his sweet revenge.

The first thing he did was look for the tenants’ present address. Then, he called a dump truck company and asked them to collect every single item the tenants left in his house. They drove all the way to the tenants’ new home and unloaded the truck on their driveway. Thomas made sure they were able to unload the truck completely.

Everything was recorded. Unfortunately, the video didn’t show the tenants’ reaction.

Well, considering the pile of trash on their driveway, they were probably shocked. It’s the last thing they expect to happen.

Thomas didn’t break the law.

While the idea of unloading a truck full of garbage to a person’s driveway might sound rude, Thomas didn’t break any law. He simply returned everything.

The video of Thomas’ sweet revenge went viral.

Most of the people who have seen the footage fully supported him. One viewer said:

“He was just being a good landlord/person and moving their stuff for them.”

Another one said:

“I would never be for this but they trashed his beautiful apartment. Some people need to learn a lesson. They need to pay him all back rent & pay to get the trash taken from there new rental. If not get their asses put in jail.”

There were also people who felt bad about what happened. While they agreed that Thomas’ action was justifiable, they felt awful for the people living next to the rude tenants. They had nothing to do with what happened.

Thomas’ action proves one thing.

When you do something bad to other people, expect the same thing to happen to you. It might not happen right away, but it will still get back at you. It may even happen when you least expect it.
