Lions and dogs are animals from two entirely different habitats. While a lion is referred to as the “king of the jungle”, a dog, on the other hand, is called “man’s best friend.” And taking these two animals’ perspectives towards each other, a lion sees a dog as a delicious meal and the dog considers a lion as a fearsome predator.

So, it is almost safe to say that these two creatures will never get along with each other…almost.

Unlike most humans, there are people or professionals who can develop a special bond with lions.

These people most likely studied their behavior and learned how to effectively tame them. Though it’s a frightening sight to see a human having a close encounter with lions, these trained professionals can cuddle with these gigantic predators with so much ease.

Surprisingly, there are just some lions out there who defy zoology and any other studies about animals. Some lions prove that they can still build a beautiful relationship with other species. We are talking about animals that usually fear them, just like dogs.

If you are not convinced enough, then we would like to introduce to you Miki the lion.

He is such a special lion who managed to build a precious relationship with a dog named Camila. They have been together longer than we could ever imagine. With the type of bond that they have, it almost looks like they came from the same womb.

According to Miki’s biography that’s shared by the Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation on their Instagram account, Miki was illegally kept in an apartment. He was eventually rescued and turned over to them on the evening of October 31, 2016.

Later, they learned that Miki came in with a furry friend- none other than Camila.

They weren’t put together when they arrived at the foundation, but Camila started to cry at the gate while trying to get to her friend. Eventually, they let them be together, and they have never been happier since then. They grew together since they were just babies, and it’s obvious that they already loved each other right from the very beginning.

The workers at the sanctuary where they live often get the chance to capture Miki and Camila’s sweet moments together.

This video, in particular, shows the proud lion being so gentle in front of Camila. Then suddenly, he goes to kiss her paw.

Little does Miki know, Camila is just not in the mood for some cuddles.

The cute video between Miki and Camila was shared on YouTube by Toy Quest 101 back in 2018. It became viral since then and as of this writing, it already racked up over 36 million views, with hundreds of thousands of likes.

They wrote in the video’s description:

“An amazing bond between two friends since they were young. A mighty white lion and chocolate lab. Watch as the lion goes and kisses the dogs paw.”

To know that this video only runs for 22 seconds, that number of views is indeed impeccably astounding!

The short video shows Camila approaching Miki. Pretty soon, her tail starts to wag, and there comes Miki.

He immediately grabs his canine friend’s paw and kisses it, it is the sweetest gesture that I have personally seen coming from the known king of the jungle.

When he goes for another grab, Camila looks like she’s had enough of the sweet act and suddenly walks away. The worried lion runs after Camila with hopes of making it up to her.

It’s like a typical picture of a husband trying to beg for his wife’s forgiveness.

Sadly the video ended after that chase and we wish we knew what happened next!

While some people expressed their concern about Camila, it’s obvious that they’re friends and Miki will never harm his friend.
