Little boy learns how to speak Husky so he can chat with his best friend
We all know how intense a bond between a dog and a child can be, but did you know that sometimes it can form before a child has even left the womb? Well, we’re sure if you’re a Twilight Saga fan the reminder alarms are going off.
All fantasies aside, though, there is one Husky who’s been besties with his small human, Braxton, since before he was born.
Boston fell in love with his tiny human even before his own mom knew she had a baby growing inside her.
“Iām convinced that Boston knew I was pregnant before I did!” Exclaims Alixandria Smith, Braxton’s mom, in an interview with The Dodo.
Ever since Braxton made his way into this world, he’s had his Husky best friend right beside him. No matter what one is doing, the other always wants in on the fun and, as we all know, when it comes to having a best friend, we tend to learn a lot from one another. As it turns out, it’s no different with dogs.
Well, what Braxton picked up on was his Husky bestie’s language.
If there is one thing any Husky owner can tell you, it’s that they like to talk… a LOT!!! Of course, the very best part of having a best friend is all the great conversations. So, after hearing his Husky howl out in his very unique voice a few times, Braxton realized that this is how Boston likes to talk.
Not wanting to miss out on anything, Braxton decided he’d talk back to his buddy in the same language. Thankfully, mom was recording when her son howled out a full-on conversation with their dog and it’s too adorable!
It seems that there’s just no end to how far Braxton and Boston’s bond goes.
Learning Boston’s language is clearly something that comes easily to Braxton.
In fact, though the little boy is pretty fluent in two other languages, it’s Husky that he seems to love to speak the most. Alixandria explained that though she and Braxton’s dad have been teaching him both Spanish and Sign Language pretty regularly, Husky-speak is his second-nature.
“Now that he can speak Husky, he is super cultured and bilingual,” Braxton’s mom says jokingly.
She may have been joking, but her kiddo and her husky really are having a convo.
As it turns out, while howling can represent a warning in wolves, many dogs howl as a way of communicating something else. They howl when they are happy to see you and want your attention, just the same way we let out little “Eeks” when we see our best friends for the first time in a while.
“Howling is one of many forms of vocal communication used by dogs. Dogs howl to attract attention, to make contact with others and to announce their presence,” states WebMD on their website.
So, we hope that little Braxton keeps on howling it out with his bestie as he continues to grow. Not only is it good for him and his dog’s growing communication skills, but they also have one heck of a good time while they’re doing it.
