It is no doubt that children can sometimes be mysterious creatures. Because they don’t have a full understanding of the real world and things like their social skills and sense of logic are still developing, they will sometimes do strange things. It is part of life!

Sometimes they will tell you that they will be mad at you forever, although they have no concept of time and they definitely won’t be. Sometimes they will think that Halloween is the most important day of the year when it’s not. Or sometimes they will respond to a simple object in a grocery store in a way that an adult normally would not.

Take Braydon, for example. The young boy was off to do some last-minute shopping at Walmart with his mother, who obviously had no idea what her son was going to do.

Because it was a last-minute trip, Braydon’s mother was in a bit of a hurry. She rushed through the aisles and assumed that her son was by her side every step of the way only to turn around and realize… He was not.

Naturally, her maternal instinct kicked in and she panicked. There is pretty much nothing worse than a mother losing her child.

She continued to rush around the store but this time, for a different reason: to find her son! She ran everywhere and retraced her steps to the beginning until thankfully, she found him.

The strange thing was that when she came across her son, he was kneeling in front of a poster and praying.

Not a typical thing you do in Walmart but hey, she was intrigued of course!

Turns out, the board on the wall that he was praying to read: “Every Second Counts.” It was dedicated to the children who were missing all over the country, and it urged others to keep a lookout and alert authorities if they were to find one.

So what was Braydon doing? He was praying to the lost children and hoping that they made a safe return to their homes. When his mother saw this, she couldn’t help but get super emotional. That was her kid after all — the one who was being super sweet and kind and selfless. So well-taught!

Because Braydon’s mom became so emotional, she had to take to Facebook to share what happened with the world.

Of course, everyone else was in awe of how amazing her son was and so it went viral.

Others publicly thanked Braydon for his prayers as well, like the Facebook page “Bring Aubrey Home,” which was dedicated to the child Aubrey Carroll in Georgia, who was eventually found two years after his disappearance.

It is so amazing to see a child react so appropriately to something so terrible. He was able to empathize and really see the heartache that was being felt across the country… And ultimately, he positively affected others with his prayers and kind thoughts.
