Little girl sounds like an angel while singing cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine”

Connie Talbot becomes a star at age six.

Connie Talbot auditioned for the Britain’s Got Talent television show when she was only six years old. Her performance received praise from all the judges, including the not-so-easily impressed Simon Cowell. This just goes to show the raw talent Connie Talbot had at the age of six.

From a very early age, Connie Talbot loved to sing. She and her grandma would watch the movie “Wizard of Oz”. Connie loved to sing “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” all the time with her grandma. Connie’s grandmother was the first person to notice her talent at singing. Grandma’s belief in Connie’s talent encouraged her to believe in her voice.

Connie’s singing career takes off after her time on BGT

Connie recorded her debut album “Over the Rainbow” when she was only six years old. Her first album went on to win Gold in UK, while winning Platinum and even Double Platinum is several other countries. According to her biography on her website, The Guinness Book of World Records has certified Connie with two world records, the youngest artist in the UK ever to reach the charts and the youngest ever to receive a gold record.”

Connie might still be a student at a private school in England but that is not slowing her down. Connie has continued to sing all across the globe. She has sung in famous stadiums such as the O2 Arena in London. She has released a holiday album and has even learned how to play the piano.

Connie has been singing at such an early age, that her talent only gets better with every year.

Connie started working with Grammy award-winning guitarist and producer Kipper Eldridge when she was 11 years old. Kipper, who is best known for working on three albums with Sting, was very pleased with their team-up. Connie wanted to record one of her favorite songs, John Lennon’s “Imagine”. They both decide to record themselves live while putting the song together for Connie’s new album.

John Lennon’s popular “Imagine” has been covered by thousands of singers over the years. It alludes to a better and peaceful world for us all. John Lennon sings,

“You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one

I hope someday you’ll join us

And the world will live as one”

Seeing a young girl sing her heart out hoping for a more peaceful world is powerful to watch. Children are usually the last to have a voice these days. In a world where there is so much going on, Connie’s voice speaks for so many young people.

Connie seems nervous as Kipper introduces to the audience what they are about to do. She can’t seem to place her hands and she giggles nervously. But, as soon as Kipper starts to play, Connie becomes more comfortable. Connie seems most relaxed as she starts to sing.

Connie has nothing to worry about, her raw talent always sees her through.

Connie and Kipper’s video of their version of “Imagine” already has over 1.8 million views. Her voice and talent has moved many people. Some have commented,
